African Power Is Black Panther Power Poem
Unity Consciousness #41

Blackness Wings

by Usiku

Before lightness or darkness
There was blackness
Darkness prevails not against it
Light exists not without it
In the before, there was
elegant, panther-like,
blackness.

Charcoal wingtips fluttering,
hushed velvet, hovering,
phoenix-like, undeniable,
blackness.

Ultra-black warrior mother,
emancipating shadows,
spicy, poetic,
spiritual.

Pitch me
into blackness whole,
antique-black, rich-black,
before.

Never-ending, tar-dipped cloak,
arousing, succulent,
black eye appeasing,
blackness.

Night mare’s onyx eyes,
powerful, liberating, jet-black,
lullaby.

The only way Africans can't be powerful is to deny blackness.
