"Free and critical minds can emerge only by a return to the source-the primary sources. A free and critical mind takes nothing for granted and is not intimidated by "authorities" who frequently may be more confused than the general public. Free and critical minds seek truth without chauvinism or shame." - Dr. Asa G. Hilliard III (1)

The Art of Epiphany

As thoughts, feelings and experiences turn into words turn into poetry, epiphanies are unfolding. What I create my entire lifetime has existed in the incubator of all imagination, the ageless Spirit, for less than a minute.

An epiphany is the art of the Spirit; therefore, the art humans create contains the richness of this Old Soul. Each person, each day, each epiphany and each piece of art all have the same power. I get the feeling there are many epiphanies hanging out on the periphery, waiting on me.

  1. Very interesting. Had too many thoughts regarding this but I do absolutely agree epiphany is Art. However, I wonder at times if we “unfold” it or does it “unfold” us? Either way, it’s powerful and rich as you stated and well worth it to be a partisan of. You’re right there are many realizations that await you… all of us. So many one probably needs more than one lifetime or minute to experience them all. Thanks for the spark.

  2. I suspect there are many things at work. Epiphanies come when we are actively seeking (consciously and subconsciously). They come when it's necessary for us but unaware we need it. Epiphanies are one of many ways to help us acquire understanding along the same path, different path, veering from our path and by heading in the opposite direction. Epiphanies are like the wildcards of wisdom.
