Evaluating Personal Ownership

Values are supposed to strengthen and maintain conditions for optimal living. When results prove this is not the case, then values, obviously devalue, which, of course, is self-defeating.

One such self-defeating value is the value of personal ownership.

It's my life, it's my child, my family, my friends, my man, my woman, my property, my stuff, my decision, my team and so on. It sounds good and feels good but none of these things can you own – not in reality.

First of all, you are a created being. What is created is always owned by whoever creates it. Since everything in the universe is created by the Creator, it is impossible for humans to own anything. Humans have not created any of the atoms, molecules or elements that go into the things humans create. Humans fundamentally and essentially own nothing.

You can think you own something and act like you do but that doesn't make it true. You do not have personal ownership of yourself or anyone else or anything else.

What It Really Means To Own Something

You own something when you can create all you need to bring that something into existence and you can control, change and preserve it at your discretion. Nothing else can have any impact upon that something unless you establish the conditions to allow it to be so. If you can do this, you have ownership. If you can do this, you have moved into a position higher than the Creator. The only way for this to be possible is to be self-created.

For this reason, you do not own “your” life. Your life is dependent on many things, a few of which are water, air, sun and earth – none of which you can create. Neither can you create genetic code instructions to bring it all together to make it all work.

Evaluating The Results Of Personal Ownership

Personal ownership is an illusion that causes confusion. All around you are the problems that occur when the balance of things you value are not in agreement with the original Holy Book and natural processes. Personal ownership without stewardship and collective benefit results in conflicts on all levels for all dimensions for everything in creation.

Wherever the value of personal ownership exists, fiduciary duty does not. Very little is for the best interests of the common good, brotherhood, neighborhood or is conducive to things being as they should. Trace every problem and you will run into the false notion of personal ownership.

“In the African world, humans are not the masters of their own lives or the universe; they are beneficiaries.” (1) There is no God-given dominion over other aspects of creation.

Though old enough to be considered grown
Knowledge of self is all you can own

Or have we taught them to nod along with nonsense
Choose values from a system that lacks conscience
Inwardly fight truth for lie's defense
Copy the ways of self-contempt
Or will we turn to higher spiritual sense
Passed on as wisdom of the ancients
Study self to become better parents
To square away judgments
Teach all nutrition regains all strength
Aids understanding, unifies fragments
So family lives according to Creator's intent

Expanded Definitions: What Is Time – Money? Keeping Track of Time & Climate Change.

Earth Time

Time is the motion of cellular processes.

Earth is a type of cell in the body of the Universe.* Earth's cellular processes cause motion. Humans have chosen to measure time based on the motion of Earth in relation to the motion of the Sun. I call this “Earth Time.”

Individual Time

Each living being has its own motion, therefore its own time. I call this “Individual Time.” In other words, time is an individual thing. Humans use Earth's Individual Time to keep track of human Individual Time. We do this because the motions of Earth and Sun extend across the lifespans of humans and are more consistent than the Individual Time of humans. Using Earth Time as a standard measure of time makes it easier to communicate the idea of time among humans. As a result, humans use Earth Time to represent time for everything and everyone living, non-living, no longer living, organic and inorganic.

For example, when we speak of someone who has transformed from this state of matter to the next (died), we state how long they have been dead. This is Earth Time. We could not communicate how long the person has been dead if we used the person's Individual Time because their Individual Time has stopped and no longer exists.

Using Individual Time would be complicated. It could not be based on minutes, hours, days and years because these designations come from Earth Time. Individual Time would have to be based on each individual's progression through growth stages. This would complicate the ability to communicate the concept of time among humans. When a person died, we could only say the person died at a certain stage. We could not say how old the person was because the concepts of “age,” “young” and “old” are all based on numbers related to Earth Time.

The bottom line is, using Earth Time connects the inner motion of ourselves to the inner motion of other, greater, living beings. It also helps us become aware of their characteristics and qualities such as gravity, friction, magnetic and electric. Using Earth Time connects the human portion of the natural world to the rest of the natural world and natural universe as we journey through different states of matter.

The Speed Of Time Is The Speed Of Motion

Since time is the motion of cellular processes, the speed of cellular processes affects the speed of time. When the speed of Earth's or Sun's cellular processes change, Earth's Individual Time also changes. Humans adjust Earth Time when this occurs but most of us are unaware this happens.

We know living beings go through growth stages that are faster or slower than the stage before. This means Individual Time is not constant. For example, a fetus, a young child and a child experiencing puberty are moving at higher rates of speed than at other times because their cellular processes are in rapid phases of development. This means human aging occurs at different rates of speed during each person's life. We know this is true for many other beings such as dogs. Most life goes through fast and slow periods of development.

This also means Earth is likely to experience different periods when it's cellular processes change speed. As speed decreases, motion slows down and Earth generates less heat. Possible changes could be a colder climate, mini Ice Age or Ice Age. As speed increases, motion speeds up and Earth generates more heat. Possible changes could be a warmer climate, Interglacial Optimum or Desertification. Earth could also reconfigure itself.

Time also changes when a person drowns in really cold water because their cellular processes slow down. The person's Individual Time has slowed but not their Earth Time. If resuscitated, the person is actually younger than their Earth Time. This is not insignificant to humans because we keep track of smaller differences such as the time difference between multiple birth babies (twins, triplets, etc.).

Unfortunately, humans have learned to change the speed of cellular processes and thus speed up the development process of chickens, cows, fish, plants and other living beings. This is mainly accomplished by adding growth hormones or stimulating the release of growth hormones. This has high negative implications because, in order to maintain system integrity, balance and health, the entire system must adjust gradually or at least maintain its intended proportions. This is why many of these same “fast-tracked” beings must be given assistance to fight off disease.

Time Is Not Money

Earth Time is a standard measure of motion that makes it easier to communicate different types of motion. In the same way, money is a standard measure of value that makes it easier to trade different types of resources.

Cellular processes are a resource.** This makes cellular processes valuable therefore motion is valuable. Time represents cellular motion therefore time is also valuable because it is a resource. Time is not money. Money has no value unless there is a resource it represents. Likewise, time has no value without motion.

This is why we must not be preoccupied with Earth Time because it is how we use Individual Time that matters most. We must be careful not to refer to the passing of Earth Time as evidence of change for individuals or circumstances. We must also be careful not to rely on the passing of Earth Time to change most things.

We must not be preoccupied with money because it's how we use individual resources that matters most. We must be careful not to refer to the possession of money as evidence of success for the individual. We must also be careful not to rely on the possession of money to change most things.

If we do not develop a greater awareness of motion and resources, we will be limited by the illusion of time and money.

Time To Move To The Next Stage of Our Developmental Process

Time is motion and motion is a process. Since a process is a sequence of events, time is also a sequence of events.

Life also is a sequence of events that take place over a period of time. In other words, a sequence of events (life) occurs during another sequence of events (time). Since these sequences are motion, life represents motion within motion.

Furthermore, life for us on Earth does not exist without our cellular processes. Viewed this way, life represents motion, therefore life represents time. This means each life is time within time because we are motion within motion.

In summary, life is motion within motion; process within process; sequence within sequence; and time within time.

Reality expands at a faster rate than an increase in awareness. This is the best guaranteed return on investment we will ever find. We have the ability and responsibility to use what our senses know to deduce additional harmonizing knowledge. If we don't, we are not being responsible. For example, we know there's a difference in how different living beings experience types of light, sound, color, patterns, vibrations and scent. This must also mean, there's a difference in how different living beings experience types of motion. Different beings most likely experience time differently.

Humans must stay in motion according to their intended process of development in order to maintain the feel and rhythm of time and everything else in motion. This is the best way to keep track of time. If we do not, it's possible to be on time but not in time.

*Once we make this connection and integrate it with the fact there are other solar systems and other galaxies, then we are able to recognize the likelihood of other cells like Earth.
**Giving cells everything they need to do their jobs, is a pretty good indicator we know what's best for ourselves and that we know what is valuable.

President Obama, I Am Responsible For The Economy

America has an economy driven by individual consumption. Compared to times past, individuals are not spending as much due to fearfulness called uncertainty. Individuals impact their own uncertainty when they choose their spending, choose their fears and choose their voting. This means individuals choose a large portion of the state of the economy.

I'm Not Convinced

Individual consumption represents two-thirds of the economy. Generally speaking, unemployment is 8% which means 92% are employed. The 92% who are employed can increase spending but don't due to fear associated with somebody else not having a job. Huh?

By the way, the unemployed are doing their part because, the unemployed spend a greater amount of the money they get than those employed.

It is a false belief that the unemployment rate is the primary indicator of economic progress. The unemployment rate never reaches zero. For many decades, it has averaged 5%. This means, right now, there is only 3% more unemployment than usual. This does not cause economic havoc. This kind of thinking is similar to stubbing your toe and then believing you can't move.

Who Else Is Responsible?

If banks were to lend the money the banks were given and are still getting, the economy would be better. If banks gave people the breaks and assistance they were given, small businesses could get loans and homeowners would be given at least 6 months moratorium on their long term rental contracts and not have to fight for modifications.

Besides banks, other types of businesses want certainty but are unwilling to hire in advance of demand since their profit motive has nothing to do with their patriotic mumbo jumbo. Despite all the incentives, tax breaks and stimulus laced with taxpayer dollars provided to them, businesses will not temporarily and knowingly permit lower margins to help inject life into the economy by hiring in advance of demand which would create more demand, more confidence in individuals and more spending. Instead business citizens choose to overwork employee citizens and underpay newly hired citizens. It seems like it's not only what individuals do but also what banks and other businesses do that is a self-fulling economic prophecy – not one person's economic policy.

The Impact of Confidence & Other Factors

Per a 9/27/11 TD Bank Financial Group's "Economics Analysis," the U.S. economy in the first half of 2011 was hit by a myriad of negative shocks from extreme weather and rising gas prices to supply chain disruptions from the Japanese disaster. Now, in the second half of the year, a crisis of confidence – caused in no small part by the inability of policymakers in Europe or the United States to propose adequate solutions to their respective debt crises – has taken hold. So, while corporate profits are at near-record highs, the economy is teetering on the edge of a renewed recession." [This is a reminder that some businesses have not been suffering during recent years as much as they'd like everyone to believe. It is also a reminder that confidence has a significant impact on the economy than just the unemployment rate alone.]

President Obama Is Responsible

He believed that what he meant by “change,” individuals did also. He believed change was part of the value system of those who voted for him. Knowing that change is never a straightforward process, not within any individual dealing with the things the individual controls and not within a nation, President Obama still believed those who voted for him were on the same page. President Obama is responsible for depending too much on the belief of millions of individuals. It is more likely individuals will maintain the status quo of their character than maintain any resolve towards change especially when their actions and reactions seem to indicate they believe it's another person's job to make change happen for them.

I Am Responsible

I am responsible for things I control. As far as I can tell, that begins with a value system. A value system made of individual choices that should work together, like a personal ecosystem. Making those choices often requires tuning in to gut instinct to guide me which way to go. It does not depend on listening to speaking contests between presidential candidates. By focusing on the value system I have in place, I realize all my choices and anything I do becomes a vote for who I am.

Spirituality Meets Money Mentality

Money is needed, few doubts about it. Spirituality is needed, fewer doubts about that. Sometimes these needs appear to be at odds. It's about time they learn to get along.

What Spirituality Represents

The primary purpose of the spirit is to help us get the most out of the value in ourselves. By doing this we will get the most out of this life and the one to come.

Our spirit represents the greatest portion of our individual, personal value. We own this value free and clear. The spirit is our birthright. It was granted to get us started on an equal footing and to keep us going. It is life ensurance.

What Money Represents

Money is an accepted and simpler measure of value. This value is used to trade one thing for another. For instance, money represents the value of one hour of work. We trade our time and skill for that money by performing that work. Without money, there would have to be something else of value to give us in exchange for our time and skill. We'd need a bigger wallet and it'd be hard to make change. The power of money is that it makes it so much easier to trade things.

Back in the old days, more people had a greater understanding of the value of things. They were more aware of the time, energy and processes required to make things available. Today, that understanding is highly questionable. Yet, money still represents value. This was just asking for trouble. Along the way from then to now, what we hand over of ourselves, how much money we receive and finally, how much of that value we hand over for other things got really out of whack.

We are no longer connected to what it takes to produce basic things like food or how valuable our time is or our abilities are. All we know is we need things. We also know we need money to get those things. Somebody's got it and we got's ta have it.

We quickly and automatically come to the conclusion money comes from jobs and things come from stores. With this limited perspective of the trade-offs, we cheat ourselves in so many ways by giving up way more than we get or is even possible to get. We seek shortcuts and end up short circuiting.

We give up time, effort, brain power, peace of mind, skill, knowledge, character, health, relationships, honesty, life, dreams, spirit, passion, purpose and so on in order to get apples, milk, eggs, bread, sugar, corn, rice and wheat, lumber, bricks, leather, machines, cotton, power, prestige, safety, security, entertainment, stuff, happiness, success and so on.

Our disconnection on one hand and desire on the other have made it come true that money is a major motivator. Well it is and it isn't.

If money was truly the motivator we act like it is, we would be motivated to get the most out of what we trade to get money. We would appreciate and improve upon the use of our time and skills. That way we would get the most value we could. Then we could have all the things value can buy.

If we have a money mentality, then we should at least go for it completely. Pursue it like we mean it. Be truly motivated. Get the full value for our worth. Quit trading all our important resources for a little bit of monetary value. No wonder generation after generation do not appreciate the value of a dollar spent. It's because we do not communicate the value in a dollar earned.

At Least These Numbers Don't Lie

The other day I read someone earned $10,000,000 a day for the past two years working a job. If I work from age 18 to 68 for an average of $50,000 a year, I would only earn $137 a day.

Evidently I need to change my perspective and awareness concerning my monetary worth. I need to start trading myself for no less than $1,000 per day. That's $365,000 per year. Sounds like a lot but it is not uncommon for many people to earn a million per year. It is even more common for people to earn more than $365,000 per year.

Even if I did earn $1,000 a day for 50 years, the person at the beginning of this example could earn the same amount in just two days. For those making a million per year, their 19-year income would be more than my 50-year income.

The Right Tool For The Job

No matter what, being our best will serve us well in this life. Being our best is not improving our skills, it is doing what we were designed or redesigned to do.

Humans and many animals can learn to do many things and do them well. Doesn't mean that's what we should or were meant to do. Even plants can be trained.

Being our best will help us remain aware of our true value and begin trading that value for things of greater value, including more money. If it takes the motivation of money to move us towards our best, then so be it.

Here's the other side of reality. Trading our value for money will never be equal. It ain't supposed to be. It's impossible. You can't take something of immeasurable value and value it with something that is merely a carnal convention and convenience – money. However, when you employ your spirit, you'll have all the money you desire plus fulfillment.

This doesn't keep us from knowing there are clowns who receive more money and contribute far less value. If they seem to be better off, that's the trick of the enemy to get us to forsake our faith and also trade supposed success for the siphoning of our souls and the sacrifice of our legacy.

Being our best will help us remain connected to our gifts which is spiritual exercise. It's stupid not to use our spirit to our advantage. By not valuing my spirit and using it for all it's worth, as far as I'm concerned, I've clowned myself.

This is even more laughable when it's obvious that if it takes money in this life, the spirit has no problem with us having money and lots of it. Makes me wonder...when they were passing out spirits, did we think they said lyrics, which might explain why we trade our spirits for a song.

Money is a tool and resource. Money replaced bartering, checks replaced money and credit/debit cards replaced checks.
Our spirit is a tool and resource. It cannot be replaced. There are no substitutes but many prostitutes.
It is a crime to deface money. It is a sin to disgrace the spirit.

Spirituality and money mentality need to keep on meeting like this.

Artistry For Free?

Life would be a pervasive shade of grayscale without creative expression. Artistry has extensive and intrinsic value; however, this understanding has been lost when it comes to certain forms of written art.

The responsibility lies mainly with writers of poetry, short stories and articles. I suspect part of the problem is too many of us view our creativity as sideline contributions. Thus, we give too much talent away when offered a chance to participate in the publishing game and then expect to be fairly compensated when we turn pro. How many novels are published for free? How many screenplays are flooding the free market? How many tailors give away clothes? How many paintings are simply handed over? How many wood carvers whittle away just because someone wants their creation?

Artists should be paid. Venues that do not pay writers have every right not to. Writers who are not hobbyists should carefully weigh the long-term benefit of exposure and perceived prestige of a publication against their creative output’s ability to create input for their own bank book. The minute we give our writing away and it appears in a publisher’s showroom, the value plummets like a new car driven around the corner. Yet, our continued willingness to give our property and rights away has created a feeding frenzy on one end of the talent pool by non-paying markets while at the other end media machines pick and choose. Who can live off exposure? Exposure by itself is far less sustaining than love which, even at its best, love hardly puts food on the table.

In my infancy and ignorance, yes, I have given foolishly. Granted, not everyone wants to get paid or seeks satisfaction the same way. For those of us who want to earn a living using our talents, we must stop undervaluing our blessings in any form and any length. The beauty and value of art are not limited to our age, experience, training, credits, goals, culture, form, formulas, panels of judges or editors, etc. A beauty of art is that it transcends every man-made constriction, even the artist, because it flows from a spiritual gift which is forever equal in all respects to any other manifestation of the spirit. A value of art is its renewable ability to connect with us in pure places and transfer meaning across the space between lives. The only real difference in art is, not everything is for everyone; but, let’s let this be decided individually, freely.
