To paraphrase Dr. William A. Smith:

Anytime you have something you can look forward to, you have hope. And when you have hope, stress goes down. So, in order to cope with difficulties in life, what you need to do is create hopeful situations and hopeful environments. Once you've done this, you can continue in that hope because you now have something positive to focus on and look forward to. So as long as you can achieve some of those things and experiences you've conceived, you feel good in the moment, despite current difficulties and stress; therefore, you are not always weighed down by the negative.

When I heard the above words, I immediately realized the conspiracy of the Universe bringing more understanding as to why we cling to certain things so desperately.

We cling because of what we think those things mean.
We cling because in those things lies our hope.

This is why we cling to relationships. Our greatest hope is in the relationship. Our hope in the relationship is what is helping us deal with our current difficulties and stress.

This is why we cling to money. Our greatest hope is in the money. Our hope in the money is what is helping us deal with our current difficulties and stress.

This is why we cling to countries. Our greatest hope is in the country. Our hope in the country is what is helping us deal with our current difficulties and stress.

This is why we cling to religion. Our greatest hope is in the religion. Our hope in the religion is what is helping us deal with our current difficulties and stress.

This is why we cling to race. Our greatest hope is in the race. Our hope in the race is what is helping us deal with our current difficulties and stress.

And this example applies to many other things we cling to, starting with our optimal and suboptimal identifiers of self.

When we cling to these things for these reasons, we will not let go until we gain better understandings by reprogramming our definitions and meanings of:
1) things
2) stress and difficulties
3) what is the best hopeful way to deal with those things

In other words, we cling to suboptimal things when we have suboptimal understanding and we cling to optimal things when we have optimal understandings.

During recent Ages, we have been socialized (reprogrammed) to seek escapism as the main way of dealing with the tremendous amount of imbalances, hardships and stresses we encounter.

Since most of the things we cling to in society are examples of escapism, most of the things we cling to are maladjustments, thus we are maladapted.

Just to be clear, one of the reasons we cling so desperately to things and place the most hope in them is because we do not have a healthy understanding of it.

What seems to hold true: the deeper the difficulty and stress and traumatic event and the longer it exists unresolved:
1. the easier it is for us to overlook shortcomings, inconsistencies and contradictions in the things we cling to
2. the more likely we are to cling to and place hope in something which cannot alleviate the difficulty, stress or trauma.
3. the more likely we are to choose the ”to each his own” escape route.

Conspiracy is two or more things working together.

There are good and bad forms of everything. Good spirit and evil spirit.
Therefore, there is good conspiracy and bad conspiracy.
The human body is based on conspiracy.
The ecosystem is based on conspiracy.

So, contrary to popular disbelief, yes, everything is a conspiracy.

Before Creation existed, there was One and all things were working together in harmony in Oneness.
Even though One became Two, Three and Many in order to create Creation, all things still must work together in harmony.

What we are experiencing now are the results of the mixture of things that are working more in harmony in some ways and less in harmony in other ways. Either way, no matter what degree of harmony is taking place, conspiracy is taking place.

Part of the reason we are confused about what conspiracy is, is the usage of “con” and “com” varies. Sometimes a word beginning with either of these prefixes is something we like and then sometimes it's something we dislike. This is as it should be. Both of these prefix usages must exist.
Also, there must be the type of conspiracy when two are more things are working together in opposite direction to each other AND there must be the type of conspiracy when two or more things are working together in the same direction.

The basis of conspiracy is spirit. Conspiracy is conspire. Conspire is con + spire. Spire is spirit.
In a Universe based on One Spirit who needed to duplicate into two forms of Self in order to grow, evolve and maintain everlasting life, everything that One Spirit created, must work together to fulfill the long-term greater good.
The more we're able to understand the One, the more we are able to understand the Many. Oneness needs Many just as Many needs Oneness. One Spirit had to divide into a Stronger Self and A Weaker Self. The dynamics of the strong force and weak force dictate, direct and control everything in the Universe, thus all conspiracies, because everything is conspiracy because everything must work together whether in the form of One or in the form of Many.

The number of words used to describe a conspiracy is enormous. A marriage, good or bad, is a conspiracy. So is a partnership, cooperation, workplace, government, family, ecosystem, union, organization, cell, war, peace, water, place of worship, walking, breathing, electricity, technology,...all of these are forms of conspiracy because they require two or more things working together.

Shopping Conspiracy and Depression

When all I’m trying to do is go to the store, get my stuff, a few gifts, pay a fair price and get out, why does everything about shopping seem to be a conspiracy?

The retail experience is like a shell game on a massive bass ackwards, overproduced scale, making shopping a gambler’s paradise. There is nothing fair about supply and demand except laissez-faire. Also, I have yet to find a single free market in this economy not even between fish and fruit.

I’m convinced stores rearrange products frequently to make customers focus on the hunt rather than how much. You can’t find items or the employees who hid them. This is known as merchandising; but for humans weaned on consumption, it’s antagonizing. Go color code the floor or something.

Newsflash to retailers: Shoppers move items all over because you do. Parents lose children in stores because shopping requires so much concentration and retaliation. Do you think all those clean ups are accidents? It’s to coax your child labor out of hiding.

If it’s all about the endcaps just make the entire store a bunch of square pods with an endcap on each side. Aisles of endcaps and one big dizzying square dance.

All these pricing schemes seem unnecessary. If you’re trying to trick or depress customers, just state prices using minimum wage work hours and quote quantities in handfuls. By the way, please limit my options to five or less per product. When I automatically go into “Eenie Meenie Minie” mode using fingers and toes, it’s embarrassing.

“Give me more at the store” is the newest customer movement and mantra. Here’s the customer service we want:

• Unlock both doors to prevent the double door dilemma, eliminate the bounce back effect and reduce our need to sue.


• Carts with something other than luggage or stagecoach wheels.


• Carts that can be size adjusted depending on how much I’m buying or to match my mood. (See Hasbro’s transformer technology.)


• Carts with heel guards, car avoidance systems and that can find their own way back home.


• Free carwashes while we roam and free shoe shines, manicures, pedicures, massages, mimes, magicians…while customers wait in congestion at check out.


• Check out lines with big screen TV’s, cable, couches, hors d’oeuvre...Dinner and a thirty minute movie at checkout would make the wait worthwhile and make me shop more.


• These services will fit into the same space occupied by the twenty closed check out lines.


• Lastly, we will continue to mail-in for rebates only if you will bill us for the purchase, include a copy of the receipt, mail it to the bill payment fulfillment center “BPFC” nearest my zip code and not expect payment until we get our rebate checks. Contact the BPFC if you don’t get paid within 8 to 12 weeks after we receive our rebates. Sounds criminally insane doesn’t it?

Note to retailers: Aldi solved two cart problems for a quarter. Common sense and creativity doesn’t cost much unless they’re overridden by greed. (See Daffy Duck syndrome).

I’ve concluded, shopping is not simply linked to depression, it’s the reason for depression. Going shopping must also be the precursor to going postal and can probably be linked to all craziness and all crime. The conspiracy goes deeper still…
