"Free and critical minds can emerge only by a return to the source-the primary sources. A free and critical mind takes nothing for granted and is not intimidated by "authorities" who frequently may be more confused than the general public. Free and critical minds seek truth without chauvinism or shame."-Asa G. Hilliard III

If you do not understand racism (white supremacy) and how it works, everything else you understand will only confuse you. - Neely Fuller

We need something to clarify everything for us, because we get confused...but if we use the concept of Asili, we will understand that whatever it is they are doing, whatever terms they use, however they come at you, you need to be thinking about what? How is this going to facilitate their power and help them to dominate me? -Marimba Ani

Ultimate Happiness, Dreams & Sickness Analogy
Wizard Of Oz African Perspective

Using ways of knowing and applying keys, unlocks analogies.
Related analogies:
1. Character & Setting
2. Know Thy Self To Know Power
3. Character Traits

Wizard Of Oz Movie

Happiness. “If I ever go looking for my heart's
desire again, I won't look
any further than my own
back yard because if it
isn't there, I never really
lost it to begin with.”

Somewhere Over The Rainbow is an illusion. Dorothy learns there is no place like home.

Witch: And you, my dear,
what an unexpected
pleasure. It's so kind
of you to visit me in my loneliness. (1)

African Perspective

To find the Neter, Hapi-ness, requires a spiritual safari. You must travel up south on the River Of Life back home to the origins of humanity. This path is also the path up the spinal column to where the pineal organ seats in unity with self and as the trinity of all else. This is the road map to Africa inside you. Follow it wherever you are, and even if you do not physically reach Africa, you will be on the spiritual path to paradise. Along this path all roads intersect to guide you to physical paradise in the here and now. This will be so, though you yet remain outside of Africa because the greater Africa surrounds you even as you carry Africa with you. This is the Adro-Adroa and is supported by Marcus Garvey who taught, “Africa is wherever Africans are.”

Each person must face whatever is needed to return to understanding from being lost due to tumultuous and traumatic events.

The American Dream is also an illusion. If you pursue it or achieve it you are doubling-down on illusion and creating a matrix within the matrix. Each accomplishment that satisfies the dream and not the destiny, harms the viability of ancestors, descendents and family.

The journey to find happiness and heaven takes place inside self because that's where the two exist in the personal universe – as above, so below. Find happiness and heaven inside self and then it will automatically manifest outside self.

The universe and the galactic yellow brick road are also inside self.

Evil is truly a lonely state of existence indeed. There is no connection to the greater harmonizing forces inside self and outside self. Do not be deceived by the laughter of evil people. Remember, everything they do is not as it seems. Evil people do not want to be evil, they want to be you but can't be. Thus they act out in the worst ways due to the terminal, incurable illnesses of depression and psychopathy. History tells us this. Current events tell us this.

Personal Growth is Seeking, Reaching, Seeking...

Reposted with permission from CRPS/RSD, A Better Life: A blog by a sufferer of chronic pain. From my perspective, it is also for anyone genuinely interested in life itself and the things that connect us.

This Karen Ravn quote holds true for people with chronic pain.

"Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look can I see, only as much as I dream can I be."
Life, as they say, is not a rehearsal. We get one go at it. The choices we make direct our path in life. I choose happiness.

Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body's natural pain killers, and produces a general sense of well-being. The threshold of pain is raised during and for a short period of time after laughter.

Laughter also engages various parts of the brain. Perhaps this is one reason people often find that a good dose of laughter can be followed by a burst of creativity.

We know that by making positive affirmations pain perception can be reduced by up to an amazing two thirds.
(Conversely, you can actually increase pain perception by focusing on negative aspects and fearing your pain.)

These findings make perfect sense to me. I know when I talk about how I'm feeling, I feel worse. When I'm having fun I feel better. Now I know I can actually change the inputs which bring about a change in the brain, I'll be more aware of how I think and feel. I'll also be dedicating more time to "actively seeking happiness" and strive to see "the glass half full."

I encourage you to expand your knowledge, reach to grow. Only by seeking information can you go forward. By looking, the way will become clear. I encourage you to dare to dream of a better life. "As much as I dream can I be".

Only seekers reach and only reachers seek. --Usiku

Two Steps:
1.Ask more questions of others, of yourself and of the Spirit.
2.Affirm the person you want to be and the things you want to accomplish within the first few minutes of waking each day. Do this before you get busy. Make it an enriching part of your routine by making this affirmation in bed or in the lavatory.

Two Questions:
1.Is reaching as high as you can the same as perfectionism?
2.What is the bigger problem: Not knowing or worrying about what we know?

Personal Growth Requires Humor & Laughter

The ability to look on the funny side of things is just as important as looking on the bright side. If you're truly serious about personal growth you'll laugh a lot along the way. It's good for the spirit. In addition to the satire on this blog, here's some humor that has helped me during crazier-than-usual times.

It's fabulous so many are becoming involved in the political process. This interest has also spilled into the national economic crisis. With so many debates and discussions surrounding these issues, it's easy for many newcomers to get some information a little mixed up. My sister is one of them. She thinks Jimmy Buffet is who Barack Obama said could help with economic policy. It's Warren Buffet. She didn't question me at all when I said, the name of Warren and Jimmy's grandfather is Old Country. I'm glad she's at least voting for change.

I'm amazed at how many people, when given the choice: You can be a fool if you want to, will choose that option.

Things are getting so bad in the economy, I went to rob a bank and they took my money.

Laughter is the best medicine because it's a free legal stimulant. Give me a hit of humor and I'm good to go. At least until I'm feenin' for my next funny fix.
