"Free and critical minds can emerge only by a return to the source-the primary sources. A free and critical mind takes nothing for granted and is not intimidated by "authorities" who frequently may be more confused than the general public. Free and critical minds seek truth without chauvinism or shame."-Asa G. Hilliard III

We need something to clarify everything for us, because we get confused...but if we use the concept of Asili, we will understand that whatever it is they are doing, whatever terms they use, however they come at you, you need to be thinking about what? Becoming An Initiate To Wisdom | Poem
Unity Consciousness #193

Becoming An Initiate To Wisdom

by Ancestors through Usiku

The first bit of wisdom
Comes through decision
Which spirit, to be driven
Now comes the second bit
Always an expecting student
Always an expecting teacher
When I actually commit
Then I become an Initiate

Science Expanded | 6 Ways of Knowing + 1

6 Ways Of Knowing

The Supernatural (Divination, Revelation)
The Paranormal (Clairvoyance, Telepathy)
The Natural (Intuition, Reason) (1)

Supernatural Path Of Knowledge

Human beings gain knowledge through the help of some supernatural powers. This cognitive mode comprises Divination and Revelation (message revealed in dreams and visions).

These two cognitive modes are characterized by the intervention of supernatural beings (i.e., spirits, ancestors, dead relatives, Gods and Goddesses) who impart knowledge to humans directly (case of dream or vision) or indirectly through mediums, diviners, animals, extraordinary life events, or natural phenomena that require a special kind of interpretation.

Natural Path Of Knowledge

Knowledge is gained by using natural faculties or abilities. This cognitive mode comprises “Intuition” conceived of as the work of human heart (feeling and insight) and Reason, which consists of a natural investigation of reality through the natural power of human intellect and logical thought processes. Given that in Africa, intuition and reason are not mutually exclusive, “African rationality” has its peculiarity.
Part of the natural way is observation of repetition (pattern) and their variations.

Paranormal Path Of Knowledge

Between these two poles (i.e., the natural and supernatural ways of knowing) stands a third category called extrasensory perception (ESP) or paranormal cognition, which includes such modes as clairvoyance and telepathy. But as the process of divination shows, African epistemology skillfully combines “logical-analytical” and “intuitive-synthetical” modes of thinking, whereas in the Western tradition these modes are rigidly separated. (2)

Conclusion

Most important, African epistemology integrates religious ways of knowing and the scientific and rational process in a world where there is no distinction between the sacred and the profane and where ultimately religion is an ally of science, rather than its opposite.

Since there are multiple ways of knowing, why do we limit ourselves to Reason/Intellect/Logic, I.e,, mind-centeredness? Why do we listen to people who do? Can someone be an expert who doesn't use all the ways of knowing to know what they claim to know? Why don't schools teach this way? What will we do now that we know there are more ways to know? Will our open-mindedness grow?

(2)Epistemology deals with questions such as, “How did the universe come into existence?” “Where do human beings come from?” “Does God exist?” “Is there life after death?” “How should one live in order to join the village of the ancestors?” “What does it mean to be a good human being?” These types of questions stand at the core of African religious worldview and suggest knowledge is an important component of religion. (Asante and Mazama, p. 242)

Worldview is a culture’s orientation toward God, humanity, birth, death, nature, questions of existence [religion], the universe, and cosmos” And history.

Another way of knowing is by the fruit (results, outcomes, effects) and by the roots.

Content Colonic | Cleansing Toxic Television Programming

Nowadays there's much talk about becoming more health conscious. This has risen to the point of talking openly about colonics. Obviously there's no limit on what we'll discuss so it's past time we begin talking openly about cleansing our minds of television content and similar toxic influences. These influences have made us catatonic in spirit, catatonic in analysis and chronic in self-harming behavior.

This becomes even worse when we overindulge in television and/or use television as a main source of information. Both are huge mistakes. Those of us who have followed this series of articles on the topic of television are now more aware that television presents more misinformation than information. Even so, our minds will receive it and sooner or later, believe it. This is why TV repeats it. A misinformed mind will become unhealthy and an unhealthy mind will continue to operate in that state unless it is cleansed of the falsehoods that cause self-destructive behaviors.

The appropriate response to self-destruction is self-improvement. One way to approach and achieve self-improvement is through the concept of nutrition.

One Example Of A Lack Of Physical Nutrition

Iron deprivation actually reprograms the metabolism of the entire cell. Without this nutrient, there is a complete reorganization of how cellular processes occur.

If this is the result of the lack of one physical nutrient, imagine the effects on the brain and thought processes when we don't get mental nutrition. Imagine if we lack both physical and mental nutrition. Now also imagine, if at the same time we are also exposed to toxins. It won't take long for health to become impaired. Thus thinking will become impaired because the brain is unable to function properly in a low nutrition and/or toxic environment. Since the brain can't do its job, choices and decisions and behaviors will be negatively impacted. It is difficult to escape these outcomes once the conditions are in place. It's impossible when we don't know this is happening or we refuse to do any type of self-assessment.

Self-Reprogramming First

Self-improvement starts by doing what we can do on our own. Stop the inflow and exposure to toxins by turning off the television and keeping it off for longer and longer periods. Stop paying the pusherman by canceling cable and satellite programming. Strongly consider getting rid of the mostly destructive device altogether.

After these steps, even if we don't know what else to do, where to start, what to think or how to feel about certain aspects of life & existence, we should be able to improve our physical nutrition, mental nutrition and spiritual nutrition.

No one can manipulate us when we have nutrition. Nutrition helps us discern information. Nutrition strengthens all senses. The presence of nutrition and the absence of toxins is the basic formula for health, and of course, success.

Nutrition Reprograms Genetic Instructions

In order to be properly functioning living beings we must have properly functioning genetic instructions. Nutrition feeds our cells, thus it feeds our DNA. All forms of nutrition feed our cells and our DNA. What we learn goes into and is recorded in our DNA. What we think comes out of our DNA. These genetic instructions play over and over again. All of our physical responses, mental responses, emotional responses and spiritual responses are predictable because genetic instructions repeat. Our DNA is the backbone of patterns of thinking and patterns of behavior. Significant and sustained change must be recorded and repeated by our DNA. This is only possible through processes that provide nutrition and avoid toxins. We can do a self-colonic of our minds by cleansing it of one of the toxins we are exposed to – television content.

Professional Reprogramming

The hard drive of our minds came from the manufacturer – the Creator - then our parents, family, friends, teachers and many other influences started sending information to our hard drive. We can restore our minds to original factory default settings by using the master programmer – spirit. Spirit is the professional we need and is freely given as the the average person's expert and personal assistant to life & existence.

We must once again practice being spirit listeners. Once we allow the voice, teachings and guiding influence of our expert, our spirit and our professional to start reawakening the correct programming, then more and more things that are toxins to us will become easily detectable. What will we then do?

Additional Benefit

Once we begin to get professional help to cleanse our minds, this proper programming will help us avoid the common mistake that comes from an automatic emotional reaction. Our now healing minds, will no longer be as susceptible to emotions that hinder self-improvement. Thus our minds will seek truth and not seek to find fault with the messenger in order to justify ignoring truth. We will accept truth even if we don't like the truthbearer. Our minds will no longer be susceptible to believe hyped up emotions that are fearful.

Respect For Elder Guidance

Wisdom is spiritual intelligence. When we compare wisdom to human-conferred degrees, we will always respect knowledge that comes through spiritual intelligence, that is, if we have cleansed ourselves of harmful viruses. The ability to have humility provides the blessed awareness that spirit knows more than even our ancestral brains contain. If we are to be better and do better, we must always defer to and always confer with the elder spiritual aspect who wrote the programs that run the universal ecosystem.

Finally Getting A New Television

The natural world context can help us once again start receiving the guidance, instruction and advice on life and existence. The natural world is the default spiritual teacher. Communing with these ancestors can restore our programming to the correct Telepathic Vision that is also Total Vision.

Teaching Proverbs: Foolish, Deceitful, Religion, Answering Prayers And So Continues The Meaning Of Life & Existence (Part 8p)

I asked for blessings. I prayed for help. I prayed for health. I asked for money and other such wealth. I forgot to pray, not even “by the way,” for knowledge of self.

I was caught up in my sleepiness by a golden stork. Its rainbow-tipped wings touched both horizons. It balanced itself in this fashion and we were suspended, motionless above and below multitudes.

I was shown two people in the lower portion. I watched. I soon tired and asked again for blessings. I was told I would be returned and awakened immediately if I answered one question correctly.

”But what about my blessings,” I asked again? Clarity will bring blessings I was told. If I did not answer correctly, I would be returned but even more distracted and more sleepier.

There was a long silence. The rest of the conversation took place within. During that time, I paid closer attention to those two people.

I noticed they knew each other and were both following the same religion. One of them had "recommended" the religion to the other, yet did not have values as the religion. Their words, actions and relationship were incongruent because they were trying to communicate using different definitions. Though they used the same words, they had very different meanings. Only one of them knew it. “Something is seriously wrong here,” I thought.

Now soul satisfied that my reflections had led me to the critical thought, the question was provided. “Which one is foolish and which one is deceitful?”

Overall History Context & Human Rights Violations And So Continues The Meaning Of Life & Existence (Part 4)

Read Part 1 - ”All Ways To Communicate Begin With Definition & Context And So Begins The Meaning Of Life & Existence” (Part 1)

A Good Definition Of History:

a) The sum total of all that has happened in the past.
b) An account of the “past.”
c) It is a discipline that gives people an understanding of themselves and others in relation to the world, both past and present.(1)

Unfortunately, several branches of the African Family Tree, have followed the lead of the branch that emerged between 10,000 B.C.E. - 4,000 B.C.E. In addition to this group situated in the northwest of the Asian continent, groups all over Asia and in other parts of the world have also concocted foundations and frameworks of cultures, civilizations, histories and creation stories with no origination point in Alkebu-lan (Africa) and no credit given to their ancestors in Alkebu-lan for anything these later societies have accomplished and are currently held in esteem for. This is akin to taking credit for the father and mother while standing on the shoulders of sisters and brothers.

According to history, the majority of the lands outside of Alkebu-lan were first inhabited by their black-skinned ancestors and many of the societies were started by or benefited from these indigenous people. These indigenous people migrated from Alkebu-lan directly to these lands or indirectly from other migrants who had left Alkebu-lan many years before. These are the prodigal countries and places foolishly refusing to follow the path that retraces to the Holy Land of saving graces. Instead, choosing to trust their buts instead of their guts.

Regardless, the roots of these societies reach deep into Alkebu-lan. (2) Societies the world over, flow with civilization and culture that Alkebu-lan circulated from her very first heartbeat. It is the accumulation of knowledge and the transfer of that knowledge outside of Alkebu-lan that has given today's societies the ability to get off the ground and hit the ground running. This is historical, therefore fact.

Coming From Alkebu-lan to America & Other Places

Civilization and culture left Alkebu-lan and first went to southwestern Asia and Spain. See - Expanded Definitions: Prehistory & Prehistoric Context And So Continues The Meaning Of Life & Existence (Part 3). Alkebu-laners took civilization and culture with them and kept going all over the world.

Also, because those who remained in Alkebu-lan continued to have contact with those who had migrated outside of Alkebu-lan, there was a continuous exchange. “They intermarried and developed close relationships with a variety of other ethnic groups.” Because many Alkebu-lan communities exchanged goods with ethnic groups both outside the continent and within, there was a reciprocal sharing of culture. As in many ethnically diverse communities, this cultural sharing produced distinct artifacts, foods, and music particular to” those areas. “Many Alkebu-lan peoples had prosperous and flourishing civilizations long before the arrival of Europeans"(3) and other groups who consider themselves different.

Also, Alkebu-laners (now going by new names) returned to Alkebu-lan to study in the mystery and wisdom schools of Kemet. Kemet “was supreme in the leadership of civilization.” (4) Obviously, they took this knowledge back to their societies and built upon it.

Some Related Thoughts

1. Whenever history is shared that meets the definition of the first two sections above, many people will have a mind jerk reaction. “Don't Get Historical!” they seem to say and run away from the historical context of the world.
2. An emotional mind jerk reaction can keep your truth from gaining meaningful traction.
3. The historical is nothing to get hysterical about.
4. I'm amazed at how many people, when given the choice: You can be a fool if you want to, will choose that option.

Impact Of Incorrect History and Historical Context

First Impact:

As stated on February 27, 2013, “if it were possible to remove every trace of Alkebu-lan History, all humans and their footprints would also disappear. As it stands, the degree to which we have attempted such removal is the degree to which we wander aimlessly from a well-marked path and the degree to which children, following in our footsteps, suffer.”

We cannot escape the above fact no matter how far-fetched it initially seems. It is so. Neither can we escape the following historical facts:

1. The first man and woman of modern humans, all of us living today, were born in Alkebu-lan.
2. All civilizations and cultures today use and benefit from the extensive advanced civilizations and cultures of Alkebu-lan.
3. All of the “major” religions are either based on or borrow heavily from Alkebu-lan traditional spiritual practices. More on this later.
4. Our fatal flaw and missteps today are related to the loss of this historical context, awareness and acknowledgment.

Second Impact:

The negative impact on everybody's children is better understood by re-reading the third part in this series, ”Expanded Definitions: Prehistory & Prehistoric Context And So Continues The Meaning Of Life & Existence (Part 3).

Third Impact:

“The first lesson in the humanities is to make a people aware of their contribution to civilization; and the second lesson is to teach them about other civilizations.”(5)

To me, this means, it is a human right to know history. When we intentionally misrepresent history, we commit a human rights violation each and every time it is repeated and allowed to stand uncorrected. Teaching the truth is a significant part of what education is supposed to be. Without it, all students are cheated and their societies fail to live up to their potential greatness. This is the society I live in but it is changing.

Having the correct historical context is critical to our perspective and understanding of nearly everything. According to one reader, “history is always present.”

History, accurate or not, impacts our thoughts, behaviors, circumstances and lives everyday, all day. Without an accurate historical context, the meaning of life & existence will remain elusive.

Day 6: Intuition & Wisdom Aligning
Ways Of Knowing

10 Days Of Upheaval & Fulfillment

Intuition is a precursor to wisdom. Both are thoughts from the spirit mind who pass into the basic mind to bring us awareness and knowledge. We must practice listening and practice following intuition first. We must progress through levels of intuition before we can graduate to earn degrees of wisdom.

Intuition is the milk; wisdom is the meat. Intuition is the elementary to the secondary; wisdom is the undergraduate to the expert. Intuition goes from hint to taste to piece; wisdom goes from small portion to meal to feast. Intuition is instant perception; wisdom is the alchemy of awareness, it must be coaxed forth.

Wisdom is not human intelligence at all. The basic mind is usually the apprentice to the omniscient mind. Wisdom is spiritual fruit cultivated from natural intelligence in universal light. Wisdom is grown in spiritual soil.

Mind-centered living's attitude of, “not trying to hear that” locks itself out of access to wisdom. It also rarely follows intuition preferring to give itself the benefit of the doubt rather than accept the fact that something other than the human mind could know something the mind doesn't.

This is clearly evident when the intelligent build yet destroy habitats/homes, health and natural resources. The mind-centered take aim at rights and turn them into privileges. On the other hand, the intuitive and wise, when they construct, they do so with Creation in mind. When they destroy they take aim at privileges and practices that prey upon the body, mind and spirit.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. (Proverbs 4:7 KJV Bible)

It takes more than “early to bed and early to rise” to be wise. We must strive towards our better selves. Wisdom requires us to analyze experiences and information. Once we place these thoughts into our basic mind, we must listen for the spirit mind's response. We must listen with all senses. Often, this process, even as it relates to the same experience and information, takes time, quietness, stillness and more living.

Sometimes we can sense a general spirit response in our body. Positive or negative feelings come over us or in a part of the body (usually heart, chest, lungs, throat, head, stomach, back, legs, muscles). Here is where we must be careful. Sometimes this feeling is telling us what is good or bad for us and sometimes it indicates an area where we need to grow.

Intuition and wisdom require us to make changes. In our quest to become better listeners and followers of spiritual guidance in the form of intuition and wisdom, we will learn more about ourselves and how to be a human being and spirit being simultaneously without compromise. Since both intuition and wisdom require us to grow and keep growing, our lives will get better because we are devoting our resources to changing for the better by moving towards alignment.

Once again, food, a resource, plays a major role in our ability to make use of the powers of intuition and wisdom plus have that love & happiness we seek.
