Totem Poles & Mirror Souls: Expanded Definition Meanings
Unity Consciousness #1489

.

(Part 9ns of 11)

Totemism & Mother Earth

Before Totems based on human mothers, division was made based on Mother Earth. Humans were divided into two groups, one North and one South. Then, in each hemisphere, humans were subdivided into two groups. Those who started out living in trees. They became known as children of The Tree (wood). The other subdivision consisted of those who started out living in caves. They became known as children of The Rock (stone). Both groups existed south and north. These subdivisions existed because other primates also lived in trees or caves. These two divisions are also called categories and classes but are the first totems. All other divisions fall under one of these two initial totems based on Mother Earth. Totemism was the first social construct that divided the homogeneous human family into family groups called totems. (AE1 80-1/90-1, 98/108, 133/143, 4/14 )

Fuller Awareness Of Extended Self Once Existed

Since partially dividing from other primates, humans have come a long way and have lost much ground also. Even in the midst of many unknowns, early humans continued to learn and make adjustments while remaining aware of self in relation to all else sufficiently enough to create the foundation of knowledge indispensable to humans today.

During the necessary initial period of human promiscuity, humans were also going through the initial phase of fear of the unknown which was first summarized in Apap. Development of signs, gestures, understandings and ways to communicate began transforming thinking and behavior until human totemism based on human mothers was initiated.

Expository Narrative On Totems & Totemism

Totemism is a continuation of Sign Language and Gesture Language. These two forms, along with Sound Language, form the basis for human language. All three of these forms are based on nature because that's all there is.

Language is a means of separating ideas and understandings into categories for the purpose of storing, retrieving, communicating, exchanging, developing and revising these understandings. This process facilitates development of self while continuously refashioning self in relation to all else.

Before there were human totems, humans were already using totems when they were dividing aspects of nature into water, air, earth, fire, birds, fish, plants, etc. All of these are totems because they group aspects of nature into families. Therefore, the whole classification of species we rely on so heavily is fundamentally a Totem System. All systems of classifying and naming using any form or method is a totem system.

One use of totems is to communicate human groupings in relation to superhuman nature. There were no separate names for humans and then separate names for other aspects of nature. Everything started from Oneness of Origin and Understanding as humans reviewed each observation and experience until meaning and pattern could be established. Eventually this approach led to awareness of the Superhuman Totem and Human Totem. Humans eventually found themselves in this two-way sem-sem mirror. Due to the strong force of the need incentive, in order to survive, humans were innately driven and compelled to formulate understandings based on looking into the mirror of nature. These understandings were used to group nature. Then, we used those understandings and groupings to name ourselves and group ourselves. There is no backwardness or stupidity or scary animism to this except during times like now when knowledge of self is at another weak point.
All human names are totems. Now it's time to recoup and regroup. There is a natural genesis to all things, as Massey often reminds us. The process continues to work itself back around to replenish knowledge of self in relation to the extended self in the totem pole and totem souls. This process taking multiple generations to do so.

Meanwhile humans go through periods of functioning with lesser understandings as nature continues to function as it always has. Lack of understanding of all else and self in relation to each other, as early humans understood, puts humans today in jeopardy due to not understanding how to move thinking among fixed, variable and various combinations.
We've lost touch with the abilities of critical analysis, critical thinking, inference, extrapolation, inductive reasoning, inductive synthesis and multiple ways of knowing, Simply put, our whole notion of 'learning” is stunted and adjusts at a pace even slower than the workings of nature. We are out of rhythm, helpless when nature speeds up. This causes what we recognize in ourselves as behaving without “rhyme or reason.”
This of course always puts us in a vulnerable behind position as being the last to know what to do in advance. So as nature continues to do its basic things we are left unawares, unprepared and totally reliant on weak human understanding that depend on “beating” nature. Sure, we'll just build a dam and that will stop the water. Sure, we'll just spray water on it and that will put out the fire. Sure, we'll just use sandbags and board up our windows and that will protect us. Sure we'll just wear masks and keep on breathing, that should be enough. Sure, we'll do everything that works against water retention in soil. Sure we'll ignore the larger landscape and topography and not account for how our smaller actions affect the larger nature and how the larger nature affects our smaller worlds. Early humans began to account for all these things. This allowed them to survive, thrive and develop all the knowledge bases that we use today.

Some Of The Reasons And/Or Benefits Of Human Use Of Totems

1. Identification as humans and also identification of offspring from different human mothers and different Earth Mothers. (AE1 58/68)
2. Limit promiscuity through regulation of sexual intercourse within totems.
3. Begin genetic separation for temporary periods of time. This ensures genetic diversity among humans who live in close proximity or have the ability to travel and interact.
4. Form beginning basis for regulating marriage,
5. Beginning of recordkeeping of lineage. This recordkeeping captures many parameters of human experiences and development. Lineage, like totems, is not simply a name badge. (NG1 59-60/77-78, 203/221)
6. Property is held in common, including totem plants and animals. (Today we only have small outdoor common areas owned by the government but not the people. The notion of collective is defective)
7. Plants, animals and Primordials were protected by totem members
. 8. Members had a primary objective to increase the supply of the plants and animals of their totem. (AE1 56-7/66-7)

Early Totems Were Elemental Nature Powers

After the division by the poles of south and north, the next totems were the Primordials of Water, Air, Fire, Earth, Tree, Mountain, etc. For instance, those claiming Water Totem descent, say each of their births is the result of the spirit of water reincorporating in human form. The water spirit inhabits various forms of water and is always lying in wait for pubescent women so it can impregnate them and be embodied in human form. There is only one water spirit who transforms itself into all humans who are born into the Water Totem. This same spirit also transforms into all other creatures associated with water such as fish, crocodiles, hippopotamuses and turtles. (AE1 132/142, 138/148)

This Water Spirit is the elemental ancestor called an Alcheringa. This ancestral soul of life in water also matches the Water God of Egypt who bore names such as Nnu (Num, Hapi); however this Water Spirit, in much earlier times, as an Alcheringa, was not yet considered a God or Goddess. (AE1 66-7/76-7), (Churchward 414/605)

Totems were not just designations of birth and groupings. Totems represented superhuman powers that were superior to humans in at least two ways:
1. The power to give life in general and also give life through humans.
2. Every human sense, ability and strength was found to exist in nature to a greater degree. It was reasoned that since abilities were the same except in power, humans and superhumans must get their abilities from the same spirit. Since the spirit was invisible, the spirit of the totem was represented by the visible greater manifestor of the ability or power. Totems taught much respect for self and all else, yet there was still distance kept from aspects of nature that could do humans harm. (NG1 72-3/90-1)

Female Motherhood & Matriarchy Ruled

Even though the elemental spirit was considered the superhuman parent, the human female was the other half of the highly esteemed parenthood tandem. Humans had not yet figured out cause and effect in relation to sex and fatherhood, so they figured human females also bore fruit in the same way life seemed to come from other creations, via the same invisible force whose presence brought forth life via plants and water. During this stage of thought, there were souls, but none were considered human. There were only totemic souls. Whatever totem the human belonged to represented an elemental soul of life which created a certain group of creatures. Initially, and for the longest time in human societies, matriarchy was the social construct that determined descent and rulership. Above that rulership is Mother Earth. (AE1 141/151)

Eventually, human descent from a single human mother was further divided into descent from two mothers or two sisters or from a mother and elder daughter. This change took place because humans began to recognize the different roles of the female. She gave birth and nursed. Also, sometimes one female gave birth and another female assisted and helped nurse, nurture, raise the child. After twin sisters, next came totems based on twin brothers. After that came divisions based on twin siblings as male and female. These divisions mirror the early formation of creation. This continued to be reflected in later mythology. What masquerades today as modern is simply a more recent form of what existed yesterday. This is true physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. There is nothing new, only that which is transformed renewed, transformed reknewed. (Churchward 99-100/605), (NG1 69/87)

Belief In Spirit Incorporating Into Humans Is Still Common Today

By default, totems and totemism are grounded in spirit because spirit is the only thing that exists, even when it exists as soul or as matter. Most humans claim to have spirit or soul and acknowledge being formed of matter. This combination is spirit incorporation of mind, body and soul. We can call it something else but the truth remains throughout all Ages.

We are looking in the mirror at ourselves as early humans and are in disbelief that it's us staring back asking what's up. Early humans are looking in the mirror at what they've become as us.
Present, past and future are mirror images, not just as periods of time, but also as forms of things that have changed during those times.
Everything being said about early humans still applies to us today in some way, shape, form and fashion.
We might be in the habit of thinking early human thinking no longer exists in our current ways of life, but we would be mistaken.
Just like early humans, billions of us still think human females can be impregnated by a spirit without human male involvement.
This is the same as Mother Mary of Jesus being fecundated by the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove.
This is the same as Catholic representations of Virgin Mary inhaling the fragrance of lillies as a means of immaculate conception.
This is the same as Auset-Isis being impregnated by the penis of dead Ausar-Osiris.
On another line of reasoning, the notion of spirit power existing in water is the same as people who think baptism or christening or anointing has spiritual power over the physical and human body in a cleansing purifying way. (AE1 139/140)

Closing

Short list of words that mean the same thing as totems: families, moieties, clans, tribes, tems, hams, ankhs, ings, tuns, gens, nations, countries, provinces, prefectures, towns, villages, communities, race, species, colony, county, district, categories, classes...

Totemism is a way for all members of the Universal Family to always be included in human groupings whether we are aware of it or not. Totems unite the individual and the collectve. Totems unite the self and the extended self. All of our names and naming systems reflect this truth even if our understandings do not. Totemism is the Creator's way of organizing information within the Greater Self. Totemism is duality in another form. Every human group is a totem that goes all the way back to and still includes Twa, Alcheringa, Inapertwa, other primates, other animals, plants, primordials, elementals and spirit-soul. Totems are time capsules of information, thus history, that interweave all time periods through various forms of totems existing during different periods. This speaks directly to there being no such thing as prehistory in the sense that there are no written or recorded records of human events. Humans who today still maintain the notion of prehistory are using prehistoric thinking. (AE1 49/59)

Totemism, as applied to humans, is the continuation of the process the Creator is going through to unify consciousness and regain knowledge of self. Totems are the basic work in process of duality. The Creator, in the form of Us as humans and Us as superhumans, is trying to recreate understanding of self through us remembering who we are, where we came from and why we are here. Any of the ways we self-identify (self-itemize, self-totemize) is a good place to start.

Worshiping Honoring Animals, Humans, Planets, Primordials
Unity Consciousness #885

.

As fog lifts, smoke screens wedged in logic are clearly seen. Breath of life is stronger than before and winds of change, once howling for attention, are whispering at door. More contradictions present themselves for inspection and recertification through metaphor. This is direct result of retaking birthright of way by First Truth. Stage of Age we live in sets stage for sensing abilities. Climate change encompasses everything.
Many people are following virus logic because virus has corrupted information coming from nucleus and has created a shadow nucleus of information instead – a matrix within a matrix. Shadow nucleus takes nuclear information and corrupts data to match corrupt nature of virus. As a result, many people in societies have unfavorable view of worshiping honoring animals, yet have favorable view of worshiping honoring humans, planets, Primordials.

Starting Off With Examples

There are many Primordials. Four are Water, Air, Fire, Earth.

Don't many people worship honor Sun and view this behavior favorably?
Don't many flock to oceans, lakes, waterfalls, hot springs?
Isn't Air as breath of life, precious, divine, worthy to be praised as spirit of Creator flowing through nostrils and lungs?
How can we not hold solid Earth in low high regard and then also not be standing on shaky grounds?

How many people swear by their Zodiac sign?
Zodiac signs are based on animals; therefore, then, so must be your Creator.

We wear animal costumes on various occasions. Our sports teams are named after animals. All of us worship honor abilities of birds and wish we could fly. We call ourselves early birds and claim to catch worms but we dare not draw a picture of ourselves as birds. We worship honor natural abilities of many creations. We even mix three creations when we secretly wish we could swim underwater and not get wet - something which is not far-fetched because Sun is already doing same thing. Sun is doing this in worship honor of mother water that gives childbirth to flame. To give much respect to Sun is to give worship honor to Mother through Child.
We give wings to love and worship notion of love as being divine. We crave and seek it all times.
We wear artificial devices on and in our bodies and consider it a good thing worthy of praise.
We worship flags and images of all manner of things, yet, there's something wrong with putting human and animal or human and plants or human and celestial bodies together?
We absolutely worship honor gold, diamonds, etc. We use these items as symbols of other things.

American money is filled with African symbolism and we absolutely worship honor American money and what it represents, therefore we worship and honor symbolism that is country and symbolism country uses; therefore, we worship honor African symbolism while claiming to do nothing of the sort.

Upon further inspection, comes more clarity.
Humans compare themselves mostly to non-humans. There are more non-human points of comparison than human. Non-human preceded human and thus are parent dimension to us, their extension. Thus we must turn to other species for instruction and guidance on how to worship honor Supreme Parent. These species operate, not based on human ideology, thus their behavior provides more clarity as to how live in accordance with destiny.

Human holy book scriptures, do same thing by relying on non-human natural world com-parables in order to teach us.
So then, why can't we worship honor same teachers in order to reach out to divine essence through same means by which we are being taught nature of divine? Tell me why? On the right hand we can learn about divine essence through plants, animals and Primordials but on the left hand, don't you dare represent divine essence as such. Represent the divine through stories and words, but don't represent the divine in pictures. Internal conflict. Close this message to proceed and continue to believe.

We wear skins of animals for clothing. If we clothe ourselves in animals skin and consider ourselves beautiful, what is real difference in drawing animal and human animal as one beautiful being?
We merge with animals in our dressing of ourselves and our speaking about ourselves, so then what is so different when we merge ourselves through artwork?

We take plants and turn them into clothing. We wear special clothing when honoring Supreme in hopes we will one day be with Supreme and know Supreme as surely as Supreme knows self.
What makes humans think we are an only child of God and can become divine or perhaps already are divine, and yet, nothing else in this Universe is a child of God, thus must not be represented as such? All else is foreign and alien, including our logic-fueled behavior.
What kinds of heavens and paradises are you going to that do not have animals and insects, yet has a tree and a river? Evidently it's a heaven with a little bit of nature and mostly humans. No thanks.

Your 5-in-1 Bible tells you whatever you do to least of God's creations, you do also unto God.
Therefore if you worship honor God's creations, you also worship honor God.

Humans don't have a problem worshiping honoring humans but get all out of order logically when it comes to anything else. God in form of man, great! God in form of other animals, are you crazy?!
God created everything else before humans.
What image did God use?
God used God's image-ination.
Everything created is created in image of God.
God looks like animals. You are proof.
God looks like trees. You are proof. You have limbs and roots.
God looks like Sun, Moon and Planets. Your cells are proof.
If you can be a shining star no matter who you are, then God must be a Superstar. God is star atop tree. If God's image is your image, then your image is God's image. Since this is true for all creation, then all images are interchangeable, in part and in whole. To understand, use the associative and commutative properties of math, then go back and multiply each of the Many by One. Understandings will be equally distributive, thus, no longer contradictive.
In other words, this process removes the contradictive from being a contraceptive to the figurative.
This re-solves thesis as to whether or not non-human creations are appropriately representative images to honor worship.

The spiritual journey is continuous and we have plenty of stamina. So let us again start over from waters if we still have not yet understood.
If we humans are mostly water and Earth is mostly water and we are made in image of God, then Earth must be made in image of God. Humans, Earth, God, Water are same.
This we already knew. If there is body and soul or matter and spirit as being two forms of same, then there is earth and water and much more.

Examples Continue

Many groups of people, in numerous traditions, holidays and festivals, incorporate animals, plants, Primordials and other non-human creations. Incorporating of these aspects and items is more than just using them. It is mixing, blending and blurring. It is erasing lines of boundary in acknowledgment of oneness of unity of all things large and small. It is unity of power. Whatever teaches you not to see yourself as one with all else and Creator, is attempting to keep you from reckonizing your power.

Many people believe evil exists in form of snake, serpent, dragon and half-human.
Many people believe God exists in form of lamb of God or lion of Judah, etc.
As long as we continue to view worshiping honoring of non-humans creations unfavorably, we cannot be free because we are caught up locked up chained to a link of offensive logic that fixes Creator in one form worthy of worship honor.

More water surges upward from larder of mother. We know there is no life without water, and we worship “living waters” as God but not living waters all around us and inside us.
If God is “living waters” then God is also “living Sun,” “living Earth,” “living Wind,' “living cow,” “living tree of Life,” “vine” and so on to infinity.

In recent years, I've heard many Africans make it a point or at least a side note, to state, “our Ancestors did not worship animals,” or “we did not/do not pray to our Ancestors.”
We split very thin fine hairs when we attempt to separate worship from honor.

Defining Difference Between Worship & Honor

To worship is to give lowest highest respect to something and consider it as sacred, untouchable and unassailable from defamation of its nature, essence, character and principles.

To honor is to give lowest highest respect to something and consider it as sacred, untouchable and unassailable from defamation of its nature, essence, character and principles.

We do not worship or honor anything less or equal. We only worship honor that which is greater, or seemingly so.

Here me now. When we honor humans or any other non-human creation, we are absolutely worshiping.
Only reason we give honor is because we are acknowledging greater aspect of human or non-human. It is that greater aspect that is common, essence, unifying, oneness, divine, Creator - at least that is level to which we are attempting to elevate objects of our worship honor.

Three main points of disconnect:
1. Type of thinking which limits range of motion of worshiping honoring.
To worship or honor something does not require you to follow any common or group method of doing so. As long as you worship or honor in your spirit-mind-emotions, then that will show through your body and behavior in some way. Whatever that way is, is also method by which you externally express what you already worship or honor internally.

All of us are doing this each and everyday, worshiping and honoring things in some sort of way.

2. Nowadays we do not understand our inter-relatedness and interconnecedness. We might speak of it but we don't understand it. If we did, we would have no problem worshiping and honoring Creator in non-human form because we would understand whatever is non-human is no less Divine in origin.

3. Religions are trying to be Egyptian without coming clean about the African origin in them. Trying to be Greek without the African basis to which earlier Greeks admit. Trying to be Jewish without the Druids. Trying to be apostles without the Gnostics. Trying to be Hebrew without the Kushite Chaldea they came through. Trying to be Buddhist with Hapi, papyrus or lotus as they first existed. Trying to be Hindu with the Khentu all up inside you.
Worship honor of Creator starts with human Mother and not Heavenly Mother. As humans, our mother and grandmother is Africa. So why shouldn't we continue to worship honor our Ancestors, our Ancestry, our Africa? It couldn't be simply because we are being conned by Ancestry.com. We worship honor others by carrying their names, by pledging allegiance to their flags, by practicing their hologram holidays named after humans and their version of God. We are mixing these things with our being even though they are detrimental yet we have nerve to have an unfavorable view of what our Ancestors did that allowed them to provide information to us that allow us to do what we do, even though we use it in a messed up way? It is no use asking who do you think you are. We do not “think” who we are, we “believe” who we are. Thus we don't really “know” because we have not followed requisite ongoing process. Thus it is not possible to understand without going through the process that moves us from believing to knowing. As long we keep on believing, we will keep on self-deceiving.
Currents of thought swirl in a titled whirlpool of thought, then release me.
Names of buildings, countries and streets are more evidences of how humans worship honor humans.
We worship honor temples, synagogues, churches, mosques, shines, altars, etc. We say Supreme visits and/or dwells in these buildings built by human hands. We say same for temple that is our bodies, yet we do not consider Supreme to live in temple of other creations such as trees?? If notion of what is a holy temple was supposed to be limited, it would be a tree and a mountain and not a human and not a building built by humans.

Evolving Door Of Primitive Thought

It is a contradiction of lowest and highest magnitude to adhere to religions that are African in essence yet also view that essence unfavorably when it is expressed in original African spiritual traditional forms– merging of human with non-human – Nile with Fallopian tube - Egypt with lotus flower blossom - pubescent Africa with its worldwide menstruation that seeded civilizations.

Clearly, religion has our minds jacked up on fragments due to feeding us stale spiritual crumbs which has caused us to remain perpetual children who suck their thumbs when satisfaction of nutrition doesn't come.
Religion does not civilize anybody. It causes opposite. Religion does not allow for 360 circle or 360+ elliptical.

Always test your logic. In what way has history proven religion as a civilizing ideology? Not history as written, read, reported or recorded, but history as experienced.

There has never been a period of better behaving people as result of their religion. Take a good look at yourself. Religion causes you to shape-shift and change from robbing Peter in order to rob Paul. For example Islam causes you to stop hating yourself because of white people and accept hating yourself as a black person born of Africa. This is so because Islam denies Mother Africa as Double Source that put humans and civilizations on course for a hell of a long time before Asia was populated and before Asia tasted civilization.

That's Humpty-Dumpty logic for sure. It contradicts with our more sensible understanding of comparing human birth to birth from eggs, even though no human has been hatched from an eggshell. Humans are mammals who give live births yet we mix characteristics of mammals with characteristics of non-mammals.
We do so because we understand meaning of metaphor is same even though representation is not. After all, that is what a metaphor is. We get that part.
So why can't we understand that to worship honor Creator in one form is to worship honor Creator in another form? Or to worship honor Creator in a mixed metaphor form is just as appropriate.
Hippopotamus and Whale are more true to First Truth of God than some human form. Cow-headed human is just as appropriate.
Harriet Tubman is the kind of savior, deliverer we need, if any, rather than Jesus, copycat Christ. Harriet Tubman will shoot you for not trying to get to freedom while followers of Jesus keep shooting you in a variety of racism ways, because they don't want you to have your freedom. You assist them by shooting yourself via the ideology through which you give praise.

Thus we keep moving through cycles of going out and going in evolving doors.

Bottom Line Back To Africa

Humanity is heading back to Africa because Ages are returning to First Truth. Trump and pre-Trump America, are one of many societies who are speed bumps of this Age, glitches in matrix and anomalies to harmony. He and they serve as wannabes and pavers preparers of the way to Light of Day which is Night's second incarnation Display.

Awareness that worship honor of essence of Supreme Being is achievable through a relatively small number of symbols merged and used simultaneously, is evidence of evolved thought. Animals and other creations used in the worship, honor, praise and representation of the Creator are symbols to help us achieve understandings of the metaphor and the connections to who we are and how we should be living.

Zodiac Definition, Origin & History | What's Your Animal Sign?
Unity Consciousness #371

.

See also 10.21.18 Update: ”Great Year Precession | Equinox, Ecliptic, Zodiac Re-Definition, Unity Consciousness #1476”

The word “Zodiac” comes from Greek word, “Zoyon” which means “animal.” (1)

The Greeks took these Zodiac (animal) signs from the Temple Of Het-Heru in Denderah in the Nile Valley in Africa.

The Temple Of Het-Heru (called Hathor by Greeks) is the origin of the Zodiac. The original Temple Of Het-Heru was built around 3,100 BCE. (2) “A ceiling in this temple contains a detailed map of the heavens showing the hours of the day and night, the regions of the moon and sun, northern and southern stars, planets, and the 12 signs of the zodiac.” (3) “African man endowed each constellation in the Zodiac with a name, story, symbolic essence and spiritual energy embodying the ebb and flow of the cosmic forces that impacted man's fate individually and collectively.”(4)

Movement Of Earth

“The Earth experiences three motions: a rotation around its axis, a revolution around its sun and a gyration of its pole around the 'pole of the ecliptic.' This latter motion is caused by the tilt of the earth's pole from vertical and results in a gyration backwards of the magnetic pole around the vertical pole. This cycle takes approximately 25, 920 years to complete and is called the Precession and the Great Year. During this cycle, constellations move into alignment with the spring equinox every 2,160 years approximately.

Pisces is the current constellation. Aquaria is next constellation that is rising and almost in full position.” (5)

Time Frame For Development Of The Zodiac

In order for Africans to build the Temple Of Het-Heru in 3,100 BCE based on a cycle that takes approximately 26,000 years, Africans would have had to start approximately 29,000 BCE. However, in order for a pattern to be noticed, at least two complete cycles must be observed. This means, the constellations were known at least as early as 55,000 BCE.

“The Ethiopian origin of astronomy is beautifully explained by Count Volney in a passage in his Ruins of Empires. He invokes the authority of Charles F. Dupuis who placed the origin of the zodiac as far back as 15,000 B.C., which would give the world's oldest picture book an antiquity of 17,000 years. (This estimate is not as excessive as it might at first appear, since the American astronomer and mathematician, Professor Arthur M. Harding, traces back the origin of the zodiac to about 26,000 B.C) In discussing star worship and idolatry, Count Volney gives the following glowing description of the scientific achievements of the ancient Ethiopians, and of how they mapped out the signs of the zodiac on the star-spangled dome of the heavens:
Should it be asked at what epoch this system took its birth, we shall answer on the testimony of the monuments of astronomy itself, that its principles appear with certainty to have been established about seventeen thousand years ago, and if it be asked to what people it is to be attributed, we shall answer that the same monuments, supported by unanimous traditions, attribute it to the first tribes of Egypt; and reason finds in that country all the circumstances which could lead to such a system; when it finds there a zone of sky, bordering on the tropic, equally free from the rains of the equator and the fogs of the north; when it finds there a central point of the sphere of the ancients, a salubrious climate, a great but manageable river, a soil fertile without art or labor, inundated without morbid exhalations, and placed between two seas which communicate with the richest countries; it conceives that the inhabitant of the Nile, addicted to agriculture from the facility of communications, to astronomy from the state of his sky, always open to observation, must have been the first to pass from the savage to the social state; and consequently to attain the physical and moral sciences necessary to civilized life.

It was, then, on the borders of the upper Nile, among a black race of men, that was organized the complicated system of the worship of the stars, considered in relation to the productions of the earth and the labors of agriculture. ... Thus the Ethiopian of Thebes named stars of inundation, or Aquarius, those stars under which the Nile began to overflow; stars of the ox or bull, those under which they began to plow, stars of the lion, those under which that animal, driven from the desert by thirst, appeared on the banks of the Nile; stars of the sheaf, or of the harvest virgin, those of the reaping season; stars of the lamb, stars of the two kids, those under which these precious animals were brought forth. ... Thus the same Ethiopian having observed that the return of the inundation always corresponded with the rising of a beautiful star which appeared towards the source of the Nile, and seemed to warn the husbandman against the coming waters, he compared this action to that of the animal who, by his barking, gives notice of danger, and he called this star the dog, the barker (Sirius). In the same manner he named the stars of the crab, those where the sun, having arrived at the tropic, retreated by a slow retrograde motion like the crab of Cancer. He named stars of the wild goat, or Capricorn, those where the sun, having reached the highest point in his annuary tract, . . . imitates the goat, who delights to climb to the summit of the rocks. He named stars of the balance, or Libra, those where the days and nights being equal, seemed in equilibrium, like that instrument; and stars of the scorpion, those where certain periodical winds bring vapors, burning like the venom of the scorpion.” (6)

Africans, Your God Is Your Image Of Yourself
Unity Consciousness #195

.

Tell me what kind of God you worship and I will tell you who you are!

The notion of God impacts the perception of the nature of the African people because religion plays a crucial role in people’s identity. Misconceptions abound on the African vision of God. Dominated militarily, politically, and economically, Africa came to be dominated also culturally and religiously. Its languages were demoted to meaningless dialects, its healers to witch doctors, its religion to fetishism, and its spiritual beings to idols.

Almost five centuries of colonial and Eurocentric scholarship have sanctified concepts and paradigms that have largely contributed to the distortion of the African vision of God. Categories forged or promoted by many, led to the definition of African traditional religion as animism, fetishism, magic, witchcraft, polytheism, shamanism, idolatry, paganism, primitive religion, and ancestor worship. Needless to say, these constructs have no existence in the lexicon of most African languages. They are clearly invented by outsiders for the benefit of an outside consciousness. (1)

Therefore Africans, if you continue to worship a God unlike yourself, your image of yourself will remain lower than those the God represents.

Are you a white male made to suffer in black female body or a black male body?

Spiritual Grounding | Finding Foundational Self & Voice
Unity Consciousness #60

Finding self is to be conscious of the foundation of self. “Finding” is a form of “found” and “found” is part of “foundation.” Finding self is foundationing self. Also, since foundations themselves are intended to be what is solid, secure and reliable and also built upon that which is solid, secure and reliable, many physical foundations are attached to earth (ground). This means the finding, foundationing process of the spiritual self is the same thing as a grounding process.

As I began finding myself
I began finding my voice
I found myself
Reviewing each decision and choice
Because what I had relied on was one thing
But my foundation was something else

Foundation Of Self Is Spirit

1. Spirit is the professional we need and is freely given as the the average person's expert and personal assistant to life & existence.

We must once again practice being spirit listeners. Once we allow the voice, teachings and suggesting influence of our expert spirit professional to start reawakening the correct programming, toxins will become easily detectable. Can our choices remain unchanged if we have changed? Can all our choices remain unchanged if we have grown? Can our foundational choices remain the same if we have changed fundamentally? Can we be grounded if our foundation is built upon what humans have written rather than what's written throughout the natural world within and without?

2. Whoever does not know they are a child of the Creator born through the womb of Africa is malnourished. Knowing the place of your ancestral birth, helps you find your way back to the place of your spiritual birth. A well-grounded desire to return to the place of your spiritual origin is not separable from a desire to return to the acknowledgement of your Earthly ancestors and origins. Spiritual grounding tells you the spiritual self is part of the total package of self which includes the physical, emotional and mental.

Have we taught our children how to survive as individuals on their own but not how to survive together? Those “better lives” than us, we are ill-preparing them for, will deteriorate from inadequate construction on foundations, shaky like ours, to foundations that completely fall apart for them if our children are not grounded in learning their spiritual foundational selves and foundational natural ways of living grounded in earth, Earth and Universe. The only time we have is the decision we now face. (From, "Day 10: Rhetorical Learning Demands A Recount”)

South side Of Heaven and Hell | Unity Consciousness #26

Evidently both Heaven and Hell have a south side.

Which one of these two south sides Africans go to depends on which side of the violence they are on.

There must be human racism and other discriminations in both Heaven and Hell because, according to some religions, the way things are on Earth is how they're supposed to be. If this is true, then it must be okay with the Creator also; therefore, both Heaven and Hell must also be segregated with lower class accommodations.

Now we know to expect the same behavior in the afterlife. Just like it is on Earth, as more Europeans and wannabes move into Heaven and Hell, Africans will get gentrified out of both places.

Salvation for Africans, according to European way of thinking, is at European discretion.

The behavior of Europeans who say they believe in Heaven and Hell, clearly shows, it is not the same Heaven and Hell of the scriptures they got Africans following.

The reason there are no black angels shown in any images of Heaven, is that Africans don't get to go to the good side of Heaven. Africans don't get to have the same things in Heaven others are entitled to.

On the south side of Heaven, instead of a river, there's a drainage ditch where leftovers flow downstream from the north side. These leftovers are the fresh fruit from the Tree of Life, because the south side of Heaven is a food desert. The streets are not paved with gold, they are paved with toilet paper rolls and full of holes. Africans can't just stroll around in Heaven like they're on easy street. Africans must tiptoe around carefully so as not to fall through one of those holes all the way to Hell. Even the “good” Africans in Heaven, catch hell, and will eventually end up in Hell right alongside their family members, the “bad” Africans, who will welcome them to reality.

The reality is this:
If you follow the same beliefs
as the murderer and thief
on Earth
to whom your life has no worth
you will also suffer the same grief
in Heaven and Hell
and your only equality will be your hurt

Perhaps then, the Heaven seekers, will learn to listen to their ancestors, the true knowledge keepers of the way.

Earth Is Practice For Heaven

Behavior on Earth automatically puts each person on the waiting list for Heaven (Amenta) or Hell (Abydos). Behavior determines this. Behavior can move a person from one list to the next with enough sustained change. Both Judas and the rich young ruler almost made the change from going the wrong way. They came close. They were right there at the verge of understanding. If we understand their stories we will understand where we are at this moment of decision.

If only Judas and the rich young ruler had used the thought process. By going a little further into analysis, life would have been very different for them, even in the aftermath of one-time or long-term error. Neither of them went deeper into themselves to find their bearings. They gave up by giving in to the habit of listening to what they were used to following. They followed the pre-programmed thought process in their mind. They did not understand -
the thought process
is to help align us
with the Divineness
inside us
so spirit and ancestors can guide us
the thought process
is not to confine us
to what somebody else has told us
and thus
get us
to mistrust
our own genius
and do the minus
by following the teachings and thinking of the soulless
as they suck and drain our resources

Salvation is behavior in concert with creation.

Teaching Proverbs | Animism Definition Rejected
African Spiritual Practices Accepted

What is Animism?

To briefly summarize several dictionary references, “Animism” is the belief all things contain spirit. For a moment this seems accurate and kinda harmless because it contains some truth. However, a closer and overall look is warranted.

The term itself is “animal” + “ism.” This implies a religion based on animals and animal worship. It invokes all sorts of notions that are unfounded, foolish and fearful.

The term Animism was only recently created less than a few hundred years ago by the children of the human race to describe what the parents do. The term Animism is often used by non-indigenous outsiders in an attempt to grasp concepts they still do not understand.

Indigenous people Do Not call their spiritual beliefs by the term, Animism. This term has been imposed by those who are opposed to the people and to their beliefs. Most, if not all indigenous people, do not have names for their overall set of spiritual practices. They just do them in the context of life. Why? Since life comes out of the natural world and is sustained by the natural world, this obviously is the best basis we know for the context of life, existence, meaning and understanding.

The term Animism is at best, a narrow, ungrounded perspective. At worst, the term Animism is derogatory, thus dishonest. The promoters of this terminology purposefully defame African spiritual practices. They attempt to arrogantly name what Africans have not named. Is it not sufficient to call them African spiritual practices? Of course not. That would be too much like right.

For those seeking to understand African spiritual practices, one way is to compare apples to apples:

Conversation Between A Knower & A Non-Believer

John: Why do you worship animals and trees? Isn't that kinda crazy?
Mary: I respect animals and trees. Why do you worship a tree?
John: I don't worship trees.
Mary: Do you show reverence for the cross?
John: Yes.
Mary: Wood is a tree.
John: The cross represents a tree. It's not a tree. It's pieces of wood.

Mary: To help me understand this, will you answer a few questions for me John?
John: Sure! I'm open-minded.
Mary: When a chicken walks around, is it a chicken?
John: Yes.
Mary: When it is in the freezer, is it a chicken?
John: Yes.
Mary: When it is on your plate, is it still chicken?
John: Of course it is.
Mary: Was the whole chicken on your plate?
John: Of course not.
Mary: Was the piece of chicken alive on your plate?
John: No.
Mary: Yet, through all the changes the chicken went through and even in pieces it was still chicken.
John: Yep, sure was.
Mary: So no matter the form, chicken is chicken. The chicken wouldn't change even if we call it by a different name. The substance and essence remains though the form may change. In the same way, part of a tree is still the tree, even if the part is not “alive” and even if it is given a different name. Now tell me. Who is crazier, one who reveres the entire tree when it's alive and existing as The Creator designed it or one who reveres a portion of the tree in a man-made form as two pieces of wood crisscrossed?
John: [hesitates for several moments][He considers within himself the following: (1) If I say, the one who reveres the tree is crazy, then I condemn my own practices. (2) If I say both are crazy, I condemn myself also.] John answers: Neither.

The African-centered consciousness rejects the term, Animism. It also rejects another group's explanation of what we do. On the basis of creating the foundations for all civilizations, Africans remain capable of providing any explanations and definitions we deem necessary.

African-centered consciousness is fully aware, the term Animism and the false ideas it generates, are active-aggressive attempts to scare Africans away from their true spiritual practices. These spiritual practices are the undeniable source of our power to overcome all things by the power in all things.

In the link above, Dr. Barashango goes on to explain how the Kemetians continued to rebuild their cities bigger and better each time Kemet was invaded, plundered and torn down. The invaders finally correctly identified the spiritual practices in Kemet as the secret to the people's ability to continue to rebuild. This is why all things African are under attack today.
