Perform These Easy Thirteen Steps
1. Search within yourself. Do I have a sense of purpose to have better food security?2. Search, perennial food crops that grow or thrive in poor soil.
3. Search, perennial vegetables that grow or thrive in poor soil.4. Search, perennial fruits that grow or thrive in poor soil.
5. Search, perennial nuts that grow or thrive in poor soil.6. Search, food crops that grow or thrive in poor soil.
7. Search, vegetables that grow or thrive in poor soil.8. Search, fruits that grow or thrive in poor soil.
9. Search, nuts that grow or thrive in poor soil.10. Decide which ones to try. Read just a tiny bit more about them.
11. Decide which ones will go where in your yard. Make a rough map.12. Acquire the plants or seeds and accumulate mulch (not store bought mulch, unless you can find pesticide-free straw at a price you can afford, having no other natural free options. Search, “mulch” on this blog). At a minimum, plant the seeds from the food you buy, including the dry beans.
13. Plant seeds, seddlings, trees, vines and bushes when rain is expected so you only have to water once. Mulch, Much, Mulch.
These Lucky 13 Steps will Help You Overcome Your Fear Of Failure Of Putting Plants & Seeds In The Ground. If your soil is better than poor, then these plants will do even better. These plants will help you stop hiding behind, “ I don't have a green thumb,” or “I have a brown thumb,” or “I kill plants,” or “I don't have enough time,” or “it's too expensive.”
Point is, these plants don't need you to know a lot of this, that or the other. They only need you to give them a chance and make sure they are established in the first 30 days by making sure they are sufficiently mulched in a large enough area around them to keep the soil moist for at least two to three weeks without rain. The extra especial hidden benefit is that these plants do not require you to purchase any fertilizer. They do require you to use all available household and yard waste and, using the method of your choice, return the trash as treasure to the earth around those plants. Why? Because all soil becomes poorer when nutrients are extracted and not replaced. This is Health 101. Mulch is part of the process of slow release restoring of nutrients.
Word Lucky is word Rekhi
If you are not lucky, it's much harder to be anything else you want to be.This brings me to the bonus step: Stop cutting down everything that grows in your yard. Begin weeding the word weed out of your vocabulary. Learn what those plants are, because most certainly, some of them are edible.
By The Way
I am adding the additional numbering system of Let God Garden #1 (LEGG or LEGG#1).There are numerous gardening and food related posts on this blog. The posts moving forward will contain Let God Garden as a refresh of things learned and confirmed, and hopefully simpler and more consolidated. However these posts moving forward are not a replacement for previous posts. The new numbering labeling system will help when performing a search so that all recent articles will appear, and can be read in number order if desired, although the numbers do not represent a step-by-step approach where one message must be read before the other.
When you relax and Let God Garden, you will have many a LEGG leg up and leg down that harambees in the round.
