a) Paul was talking to followers of Jesus Christ and used the word Love in reference to Jesus. All information tells us Paul's use of word Love meant a total all-consuming dedicated unwavering love.
b) Paul said, if you don't have this kind of Love, then you should be Anathema Maranatha. Paul is saying, this is what your response should be. This is the solution. This is how you should handle it.
c) Sorta jumping ahead and sorta catching up, based on the research and notes for this message and cumulative understandings, I can now see the word Akha as descriptive of Paul. Akha is high region, be verdant (abundance of green plants), a bird (soul) of light, spirit, up-rising, lively, joyful, time to rise, great, illustrious, honorable, preeminent, noble, fire.
d) Thus Akha-Paul is Agha-Paul is word Agapae and word Agape and word Agapé.
2. The CJB version of Paul's response says.....a curse on him! Marana, ta! [Our Lord, come!]
3. The OJB says, ...Alav ki Cherem hu ("a curse of the ban of destruction is on him"). Marana (our L-rd), tha (come)
5. This is why we have to first understand word Love and understand the context of Paul and the audience he is speaking to.
6. From this point on, I will loosely paraphrase bible verses.
7. Nowhere, No How, Hecki No does it make sense for Paul to say, if you don't love Jesus, I put a spell on you.
8. This same Paul, who as Saul, was a treacherous MF who in no ways loved Jesus.
9. The CJB and OJB are lying to you. The KJV and other versions, websites and concordances that go along with the lie, are bereft of basic education, which by definition means age-appropriate critical thinking.
Walking Down The CJB Lie
...a curse on him! Marana, ta! [Our Lord, come!]
1. The main problem with this portion of the verse is Word Curse that likely comes from a rewording of what the OJB says.
2. We are given a familiar sounding word such as curse, and then tricked into believing it with the use of an uncommon word, Marana Ta.
3. We are then told in brackets, that Marana Ta means Our Lord, Come.
5. What kind of suffereth long and is kind love is that?
6. In Luke 6:27, Jesus said, love your enemies and do good to those who hate you. The OJB says show ahavah.
7. So why in the hell would Paul say, if you don't love the Lord, curse you?
8. He didn't. It is a perverse wording to say he did because it contradicts Jesus and all manner of common sense evidence.
10. John 3:16 says if you believe you can have eternal life. CJB says trust. OJB says emunah (faith). I say, with each of these three words, you grow and work you way into a fuller form of love.
11. Clearly Peter is an epitome example of sometimey love that is sore afraid to confess Jesus when it's “inconvenient.” Yet, out of Peter's mouth comes the rock upon which Jesus will build his church.
12. Jesus said, in John 15:13, the greatest love is to lay down your life for your friends. Peter failed this test like a scaredy-cat. Based on the way Paul handles not loving Jesus, shouldn't Jesus have cursed Peter? Even if only because Peter lied and say no I won't deny you, after Jesus said he was going to lie three times before the cock crows?13. In John 21:14, Jesus gives Peter another chance to proclaim his love. Then he tells Peter, show love by feeding the people. Peter had the nerve to have his feelings hurt because Jesus asked him three times. Obviously Jesus did not just mean feed the people with physical food. He also meant feed their mind, body, souls, hearts, spirits with the living word.
14. In Galatians 1:11-12, Paul said, the gospel I preach didn't come from any man, but rather I was taught by revelation from Jesus Christ himself, I have firsthand knowledge, not hearsay. So don't go thinking I don't know what I'm talking about or have no authority because I was not one of the disciples when Jesus was in the flesh.
