"Free and critical minds can emerge only by a return to the source-the primary sources. A free and critical mind takes nothing for granted and is not intimidated by "authorities" who frequently may be more confused than the general public. Free and critical minds seek truth without chauvinism or shame." - Dr. Asa G. Hilliard III (1)

Expanding Definition | Higher Purposes & Reasons

Purposes & Reasons

Purposes are what the Creator intends.
Reasons are what humans come up with.
Sometimes purposes and reasons match; sometimes they don't.

Since purposes are what the Creator intends, the term “higher purpose” is redundant. It is still used for effect and until we get used to the significant difference between purposes and reasons.

Humans cannot create with higher purposes, only for reasons.
Human beings can create with higher purposes by understanding the Creator's purposes and obeying this divine will.

Expanding Higher Purposes

Every aspect of creation is multilayered, multifaceted and multipurposed.
No single thing has a single higher purpose or use.
No single thing is for a single creature only.
Higher purposes apply to all primary creation, those things essential to life and existence.

Higher purposes always involve transforming, giving, receiving and transforming.
Higher purposes come with a responsibility to the universal ecosystem. We must give more than take in order to be restorers, healers and part of the solution.
If we take to any degree, we become destroyers, killers and part of the problem.
Instead, we must ask respectfully, accept graciously and use wisely.

Higher purposes have soul mates. There is always at least one other being who is complemented, balanced and enhanced. This bond of interactions is what allows souls to mate in the first place - through joint fulfilling of higher purposes.

Part of fulfilling higher purposes is to assist in fulfilling higher purposes of others while simultaneously not interfering with the higher purposes of others.

When higher purposes are followed, does right and wrong matter?

"When higher purposes are followed, does right and wrong matter?" My sensibilities tell me that right and wrong don’t exist in the implementation of higher or rather authentic purpose. I agree that imbalances are often sustained with the implementation of human reasoning which for most produces a “pseudo” purpose contrived with the least path of resistance in mind. However, if we go back and study nature the revelation of true purpose becomes easily identifiable. I don’t have all the answers here but I know when man had less, he was happier. His relationship with nature and his family was all he had to contend with and things were simpler. His higher purpose deemed as “evolution”, although necessary, disengaged him from himself and created a rather simple type of selfishness in his relation to others.
Going back to the basics or nature is what is needed and at some point will become inevitable. Unfortunately at this time in society this approach can only be justifiably sustained if we correctly identify what our ancestors taught us and teach that to our children so they bring wisdom to the identification of their own true purpose great or small in order to reverse some of the damage that has been done.
Thank you for this post.

Yes, The natural world is the default spiritual teacher.

Definitely, the false security of materialism has robbed us of everything else - simply put, health.

By your expressions, you have entered into the nucleus of what is needed because your sensibilities have been heeded.
