"Free and critical minds can emerge only by a return to the source-the primary sources. A free and critical mind takes nothing for granted and is not intimidated by "authorities" who frequently may be more confused than the general public. Free and critical minds seek truth without chauvinism or shame." - Dr. Asa G. Hilliard III (1)

Prayerful Religion Review | Do You Really Think?

Do you really think an all-powerful Creator didn't know this was going to happen?
Even if not, wouldn't being all-powerful provide for unlimited options?

Do you really think an unlimited Creator can't fix a dysfunctional, “evil”-infected world and the only recourse is to destroy it?

Do you really think the only way to know the Creator is through a book some humans said came from some humans who got inspired?
Did they become holy before or after inspiration?
If before, who told them who God was in order for them to become holy?
If after, does this mean you don't have to be holy to get the message?

Do you really think inspiration by the Creator is exclusive to a handful of people and that no one else is worthy, not before, not then and not since?

Do you really think you know what “inspiration” meant back then and still does?
Inspiration meant “to breathe into."
Not only is the breath of life given to all by the Creator, so is the ability to receive the breath of inspiration through the in living spirit, which is the Creator.

Do you really think prayer works by talking to the Creator, yet the Creator does not talk to you?

Do you really think the Creator waited millions of years after the first humans were created to let them know who was in charge?

Do you really think the Creator waited hundreds of thousands of years after homo sapiens sapiens evolved before letting them know what's up?

Do you really think without books, there is no way to know the Creator?

Do you really think you can ignore all the writings on all the walls and still claim to understand?

Do you really think you can know the Universal Creator and not be universal in behavior?

Do you really think all knowledge of life and existence is contained in one book?
If so, why go to school, study, listen or learn anything else from any other book or any other source?

Do you really think what is truthful is separate from what is natural?

Do you really think, out of all that has been created, humans are the only species the Creator communicates with?

Do you really think the Creator is spirit and yet when it comes to spirituality, you're supposed to go nowhere near it?

Based on what you historically know and what you see today, do you really think religion is the way?

Do you really think you can deny all the anti-God behavior of countries who claim to be the most religious and ask these same Gods to bless them?

Do you really think you are open-minded?

Do you really think religion is more fundamental than Africa?

Do you really think you can be in a grown-up relationship with God and not have to continuously mature into the knowledge of self ?

Do you really think it's okay for one book to ignore or contradict all the other evidences in the natural world and of historical and proven fact?

Do you really think a book that has changed hands several times and, each time, was changed in content, is reliable?

Do you really think religion that lies about where it came from tells no more lies?

Do you really think a book provided to an enslaved people by their enslaver while they were still being oppressed is the best book to find out who the Creator is?

Do you really think a book provided to an enslaved people who were forbidden to read or have any other book, is the best book to find out who the Creator is?

Do you really think you can escape to freedom when your God looks like your oppressor?

Do you really think just because you look or act like the oppressor, none of this applies to you?

Do you really think you should be trying to be white as snow when black as cosmic coal is the original?

Do you really think you can continue to swallow the religious Kool-Aid® Big Willie serves but won't drink?
Do you really think this has nothing to do with why your health in every way continues to sink?

Do you really think you can care about saving someone's soul without being deep into the fight for their Rights Of Creation?

Do you really think you can claim not to support the oppressive group's behavior and yet defend their weapons?

Do you really think the System of Human Racism White Supremacy left holy books and religion untouched while at the same time filling all school books with lies?
If you answered yes, then you really don't think, not really, and should just pray.

Prayerful

by Usiku

Help me understand myself.
Show me who I am in every way.
Help me understand you.
Show me who you are in every way.
Help me receive your instructions and messengers.
With humility and thankfulness.
As I continue to learn and know better,
Help me do better.
Teach me how to overcome weakness of
Mind, emotion, body and spirit.
So I can live up to my potential
Be the courageous, wise and powerful child
You created me to be.
With mercy and grace
Bless me with inspiration
So I may do your will
Breathe into every aspect of my being
Knowledge and truth
Inspire me so I may please thee.

This prayer is being answered. The following quote came into my path in less than 24 hours after posting this article:
“You know how sometimes you wonder if your religion is real or if your spiritual experiences are just things you could explain away if you really tried?” - - By Sterling.

  1. Big difference between religion and having a personal relationship with God (a born again experience) Maybe the following quote will help you to understand.

I am Christ in you, the hope of Glory. The One who walks beside you, holding you by your hand, is the same One who lives within you. This is a deep, unfathomable mystery. You and I are intertwined in an intimacy involving every fiber of your being. The Light of My Presence shines within you, as well as upon you. I am in you, and you are in Me; therefore, nothing in heaven or on earth can separate you from Me!
As you sit quietly in My Presence, your awareness of My Life within you is heightened. This produces the Joy of the Lord, which is your strength. I, the God of hope, fill you with all Joy and Peace as you trust in Me, so that you may bubble over with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

  2. Though you've spoken much truth, isn't your personal relationship informed, influenced, guided and grounded in your religion?

  3. The word religion seems so impersonal and does not describe the true meaning of Christianity. I am informed, influenced and guided by the Holy Spirit not religion. I found this example that maybe will help to explain.

Why are you Christians always sending missionaries overseas? People have their own culture, their own religion, why don’t you just leave them alone?!” This is one of the most common statements we hear as we lecture on college and university campuses throughout the United States and around the world. Students and faculty often jeeringly ask us, “What is so special about Christianity, different from every religion in the world?” To be sure, this is a very significant question; and probably one of the most significant questions that any Christian could ask themselves: what is so special about Jesus Christ?

Our family has a close friend named Lou. Lou grew up in the nation of Thailand and he was a Buddhist for the first 20 years of his life until he met some Christian missionaries who introduced him to Jesus Christ. If you were to ask Lou today, “What is so special about Jesus Christ and Christianity different from every other religion in the world?” Lou would share with you the following story:

“When I was a Buddhist I felt like I was in the middle of a large lake. I was drowning and I didn’t know how to swim. As I struggled to keep my head above water, I looked out towards the shore and saw Buddha walking up to the edge of the lake. I was going under for the third time, when suddenly Buddha began shouting out instructions to me, teaching me how to swim. Buddha shouted, ‘Kick your legs and paddle your arms.’ But then Buddha said, ‘Lou, you must make it to shore by yourself.’ As I desperately struggled to follow the instructions of Buddha, I looked out towards the shore again, but this time I saw Jesus Christ walking towards the edge of the lake. However, Jesus did not stop at the edge of the lake. Jesus dove into the lake and he swam out and rescued me! And once Jesus had brought me safely back to shore, then he taught me how to swim, so that I could go back and rescue others!”

You see, this is the key difference between Christianity and every other religion in the world: Christianity is not a religion! What are religions? Religions are about human attempts to make our lives right with God, through our good works, sacrifices, rituals, and money. However, Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is about God entering human history to graciously save men and women through His Son Jesus Christ. It is only by placing our faith in Jesus Christ and submitting to his Lordship that we will be saved.

A relationship with God will never be found in any religion, because religions only offer swimming lessons to people drowning in the sea of sin. And it doesn’t matter how sincere or devout you are in your religious faith and practice, because the sea of sin is eternally immense. The only hope for men and women drowning in the sea of sin is Jesus Christ. God entered human history in the person of Jesus Christ; he dove into the sea of sin in order to save desperate and drowning people. If you’ll allow him to take you there, he’ll hold you in his loving arms and bring you safely to shore. And after arriving safely to shore, then your swimming lessons begin, so that you can go back and rescue others!

  4. This is a word game being played. Now, all of a sudden, Christianity is not a religion. Your idea of Holy Spirit and Jesus comes from Christianity. If you are informed by the Holy Spirit you should be able to tell me very briefly and not use other people's examples. Substitute whatever word you choose for religion. Put in "my belief" or "my Holy Spirit," etc. Stop splitting hairs. What is really happening is an attempt to avoid responsibility for what you believe because, upon this prayerful religion review, it doesn't make sense in one's personal conscience so you take a side step in order to not have to reconcile many of the statements in this article, so it's better to change the focus of the article. Quit running from the God conscience in you trying to get you to listen and work through your understandings through additional study and prayer that is focused on simply getting the truth as suggested above.

  5. Christianity is a religion but not just a religion. It is so much more than that. I used the example because I thought it would help to better understand. I'm not avoiding responsibility at all. Are you asking me what do I believe? I think I have already made that clear. But here goes. Jesus is my Savior, He is my rock. He is the foundation I stand on. He clothes me, feeds me, he is my shelter in the storm. He is my best friend through the sunshine or rain, sorrow or pain. He is my comforter and guide. He is my everything and I am highly favored and blessed to have Him in my life. I love Him because He first loved me. Without Him I am nothing. I praise Him and I thank Him for dying for my sins that I could have eternal life. You see, that cross in the middle should have been mine. But He took my place (and yours).

  6. The main point of this article is for each person to REVIEW their beliefs and do so by going directly to their Higher Power in prayer or however the person's belief tells them is the way to go directly to the source. This is to avoid the possible misunderstandings of other humans, their books, their explanations and their examples.
In my first response I said don't use the world religion. You did not answer the essential question, not to me but to yourself. This is not the place to defend or explain your beliefs, instead have more conversations with yourself and Higher Power. The most important thing is to know yourself, not to prove it to anyone else.

This article applies to everyone who has one or more beliefs about how to live life.
