Many of us have watched it, listened to multiple news stories and read some articles regarding the
Cleveland Cavaliers video that some claim promotes domestic violence.
The Main Outcry Was Not For Domestic Violence
If the two people in the video had been Black, there would have been no outcry, except perhaps on a smaller scale by Blacks. The real issue is how media of all types is viewed and the impact it has on the psyche. When White people saw themselves acting crazy in a fundamental family way, they didn't like it. Yet, this is what is displayed all day in negative ways to demean Blacks. Domestic violence was not the issue. Cluelessness is. Every time a category of people or other creation is routinely discriminated against in a harmful way, it opens the door to implicit permission to discriminate against them in other ways. The lower self will continue to push the limits of discrimination.
