Fallacies & Truths Regarding Misfortune & Ancestors

Fallacy #1

People deserve everything they get and get everything they deserve.

This is the worst fallacy because it is due to completely lazy thinking. We know the above statement is untrue simply by looking at what happens to children.

Fallacy #2

Good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people.

This is false for the same reason as #1.

For those who still refuse to admit #1 and #2 are fallacies, here are a few of many examples these notions should also apply to:

America's 9/11
White Jewish Holocaust
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Great Depression
Buffalo Creek Disaster
Pensions being lost
Domestic violence
Spaceshuttle explosions
“Hate” crimes
Some obvious major examples are not listed because it is already sickly said to be the victim's fault.

No Escaping Without A Valid Excuse

When we believe the above fallacies, we are saying human actions towards their fellow humans have no impact on the outcomes of others. We are avoiding responsibility for direct and indirect actions. We are avoiding responsibility for immediate impact and delayed and cumulative impacts. We are denying someone is responsible for the good or bad behavior of a child who has not reached the age of majority.

When we believe in these fallacies there are no innocent victims. Hell, there are no victims and no criminals based on this flawed thinking. Everything happens as it should.

Test after test proves these statements to be false. If they were true, criminals would not succeed to the extent they have in the past several centuries of human history. No one religiously devout would suffer tragedy. Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson and Cynthia Wesley would have had an equal opportunity to live. Children the world over would be protected from parental disease, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and racially.

Inconsistency Rejoicing In The Misfortune Of Others

"Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him." (Proverbs 24:17–18 KJV).

”And it shall come to pass, that as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.” (Deuteronomy 28:63)

Ignore Ancestors, Invite Misfortune (Selected Passages)

For those who embrace their human cultural origins, ancestors “are at the core of all harmony or disharmony in society.” “The causes of all good deeds, fertility as reflected in the abundance of harvest or the productivity of women, and joy of family are the result of the ancestors. One could also say that all misfortunes, misdeeds, famines, and difficulties of living are caused by the ancestors in African religion. Nothing in society is immune from the influence of ancestors.” (1)

”At the base of all misfortune, however small, in someone’s life is a disorder in the human universe. Someone is responsible. Nothing occurs as misfortune without the intervention of humans.” (2)

”Any evil deed or misfortune such as theft does not just happen to one person, it happens to a community. Therefore, calamities are not distinguished by their scope.” (3)

”The transition into the spiritual realm starts during life, when individuals are moral and generous. Thus, they can look forward to continuing to be a member of their family as an ancestor. Ancestors can offer protection and guidance and, in return, are given life through the acts of remembrance by their families. It is believed that once an individual is no longer mentioned by name or remembered, they become a part of the collective immortality. Those who do not transition into the world of spirits as an ancestor are those who are not properly mourned or remembered, did not have children, or engaged in evil practices. These dead will not be in any position to assist the family and, in fact, can cause misfortune to the community in general.” (4)

”The ancestors are believed to be able to neutralize all evil and prevent all misfortunes. They certainly preside over fertility, as manifested in the birth of children and cattle, as well as plentiful crops. The ancestors assist the living because they want to be remembered. Neglect of the ancestors may cause the living to experience great misfortune and sickness.” (5)

Strengths & Weaknesses | Take Your Best Shot

Make It Take It In Basketball & Life

One basic rule of basketball is a change of possession after one side scores. I grew up playing a form of basketball called “make it-take it.” If I made the shot, I retained possession. Conceivably, if I scored on each possession, the other person wouldn't get to play offense. Of course, this never happened. I missed a lot. I kept playing. I took my best shot and lived.

In adult life, I encountered another street rule, fake-it till you make it. After a long jagged learning curve, I finally learned, since points are not given for faking, only for making, I still had to shoot in order to have any chance to make it. I could not score without taking the shot and taking as many as possible. I went from having a lot of possessions and never taking a shot to taking a lot of poor shots. It was an improvement.

In retrospect, I don't care how many I've missed. I don't care how many I've made. I care how many of the shots I take now are the best I'm capable of taking, making and not faking.

This game has always been between two of the oldest rivals, my strengths and my weaknesses. If I'm to come from behind in this lifelong series I have to reduce the number of possessions given up by careless mistakes and stolen by my weaknesses. I have to stop throwing up a prayer, without the ball going with it. I have to have a long memory rather than a short one and allow my spirit to call the plays. Through much practice and better coaching, I am taking better shots by making better use of my teammates. This keeps the possession of my life out of the hands of my weaknesses. That alone is enough to go from being self-defeated to living fully as intended kinda like what Miami did to San Antonio in Games 6 and 7.

World History Poem | On The Origin Of Things, Listervelt Middleton

On The Origin Of Things

by Ancestor Elder Listervelt Middleton

Look around you Black child
your creation is everywhere
Though painted, distorted,
given new names
they bear your prints
just the same
so sharpen your eyes
tune your ear
so you'll know what you see
understand what you hear
you were the first to write
the first to read
humanity sprang
from your black seed
for 110,000 years
you were here alone and
and then the Caucasian man
was born
behind the ice
inside the cold
a chill set in
this new man's soul
other minds have been credited
with the things
they learned from you:
Newton, Pythagoras, Kepler
and Galileo too
sharpen your eyes
tune your ear
so you'll know what you see
understand what you hear

you made the serpent the symbol
of the healing arts
and African justice
was Goddess Maat
who weighed herself
against the African soul
truth and justice blind-fold
the George Washington monument is yours too
a copy of the African Tekenu
the symbol of the Black world's
powers of creation
the Black man's penis
in divine procreation
the king of Southern Egypt
wore the white crown
keep listening
and you'll catch your mouth
when you learn that
the central government in Egypt
was known as the White House
sharpen your eyes
tune your ear
so you'll know what you see
understand what you hear

your God Osiris
was restored to life
long before Buddha
long before Christ
and today
what you call the Madonna and child
is but the first Black family
worshipped 'long the Nile
and when you feel the Spirit-
the Holy Ghost
you should know
it started at Abydos
where God Osiris' body was laid
the Holy Land
where Africans prayed
minute by minute
hour by hour
as you lose your history
you lose your power
so sharpen your eyes
tune your ear
so you'll know what you see
understand what you hear

Self-Esteem | Employer, Employee Differences Poem

Pimp & Ho

by Usiku

Even with courting before consummating
The deal still is, imbalanced labor relating
No matter how much you're negotiating
Nothing man-made is worth what you're making
Nothing is worth the greatness you're forsaking
Selling self to disrespect, claiming blah blah for survival
Not admitting, it's submitting, for which you are liable
Your chosen condition, ill-fitting, spirit-soul you stifle
Boss taking much more, giving you an allowance and a title
And all you have to do is wear this 40-year bridle
Controlling you for needing money, far beyond where basics go
Not resourceful, repentant or remorseful is starting to show
You have an addictive habit, and need a lot of dough
Sounding like pimp and ho
At least between master and slave there's no pretending so

[Sound of a slap, then a thump]
Dat's fo' de heth cur ya's ben wontin'
[Sound of a whip cracking flesh]
Dat's de onlys time offin' ya's gittin' wen I'm teechin' ya dis here lessin
Now come 'ere boy an' pick dat gal up an' brang 'er wit' cha
Der's lotsa wurk ta be dun
An' I aims ta git it outta ya
Yer costin' me takin' breaks, layin' down sprawled lak dat an' bleedin' ev'rywers
Oh yeh, an' wers my muny ya dang wuthless fools

We lie, pretend and beg to get them, pray to get them, thank God we have them, dread going to them, are more excited about days off, can't wait to quit them, dream one long, grueling dream of retiring from them and call them blessings. WTF!?

When we must program ourselves to go into an automatic operating mode of daily pretension, it gets harder each day to separate our true selves from the illusion. As a result, though we may not realize this is the reason, many of us hate our jobs but endure them for the money. This is a self-hate crime because we are trading what is good about us (health) for a toxic relationship (job)

Aspirin® From Plants | A Living Diet Kills Pain

The main ingredient in Aspirin® is salicylic acid. Plants contain salicylic acid.

Aspirin® & Plants Comparison

Aspirin® is used to reduce fever, pain, inflammation and improve blood circulation, just to name a few of the reasons this drug is used.

Plants are part of the backbone of health. Plants help strengthen the immune system which helps fight infections which helps reduce the incidence of fever.

Pain and inflammation often occur together. Since we get most, if not all of our medicines from plants, why not let food from plants be our medicine* as the Creator intended.

By now we should know we are herbivores to a high degree. Humans have herbivore digestive systems. Many health problems are associated with too much dead meat in our diets, too many dead plants, not enough live plants and too many toxins. Eating as we're intended will improve how the body and mind function. It will improve circulation, digestion and all other systems.

Even though the salicylic acid in Aspirin® is obtained from trees, it is more than likely in trees in a powerful, concentrated, not easily accessible and not quickly renewable form because it is for infrequent use. It seems today, Aspirin® is overused.

Please be aware, Aspirin® is the brand name of Bayer. The ingredient in Aspirin® is also in many other products we use. See Medications Containing Aspirin and Aspirin-Like Products

Aspirin® (Salicylic Acid) Occurs Naturally In Plants

Food grown in the natural way as close to home as possible, eaten as soon as possible after harvesting and with little to no additional cooking will offer the highest amounts of all benefits the plants have to offer.

”Salicylic acid occurs naturally in fruits and plants, while diets rich in these are believed to reduce the risk of colorectal cancer [Plants assist in natural colon cleansing and detox]. The cancer-preventive action of Aspirin® is due to salicylic acid and that dietary [from food] salicylic acid can have the same effect. It is also possible that natural [from food] salicylic acid contributes to the other recognized benefits of a healthy diet.” (Paraphrased from Salicylic acid: a link between aspirin, diet and the prevention of colorectal cancer.)

Which Foods Contain Salicylic Acid?

Inflammation, Diet, and “Vitamin S”

Plant Protectors

Even though the above articles list certain foods that contain salicylic acid, the bottom line is, all plants need to protect themselves and therefore all plants must have some chemical properties to fight illness and promote their own overall health. We are supposed to eat plants in order to transfer these benefits into ourselves.

It is more than an apple a day that keeps the doctors away. Growing and eating plants in the natural way every day helps keep the need for Aspirin® at bay(er).

Medical History Notes

*Though Hippocrates* is attributed to this saying, Hippocrates probably stole this quote since he absolutely stole the title of Father of Medicine from Imhotep. Isaac Asimov acknowledges Imhotep as the Father of Medicine. Imhotep founded a school of medicine that remained famous for two thousand years before Hippocrates was even born. Imhotep wrote the medical document, misnamed Edwin Smith Papyrus. He also wrote many others. Also, see The Black Man Must Wake Up, Part 1 - Dr. Yosef Ben-Jochannan (Minute 6:30)

The Supreme Being, briefly | The Supreme Court, eternally

Perspective Justice

Humans are one type of living organism.

If we call ourselves human beings then a balanced perspective would certainly see that all other organisms can be called living beings, in general.

Since all beings have the same origin, the Creator of all these different living beings can be reasonably referred to as - the Greater Being, the Higher Being, the Supreme Being.

The Supreme Being Holds Court

Supreme means just that. Not just Supreme over all beings but Supreme Superpower over all things. I sense the patience of the Court has worn thin of those who curse natural laws and harmonious standards of behavior and those who challenge the Court's authority. As in Revelations, wrath, without mercy, comes next.

As similarly said, who shall defy even one servant who does battle in the name of the Supreme Being? - certainly not giants and certainly not their weapons.

Definition | Curse Words, Swear Words & Profanity

Cursing All Over Earth

The world is filled with curse words. Millions are in use daily. They range from the currently obvious to those that seem to be opposites – blessings. Cursing, swearing and profaning go far beyond the few words we focus on as filthy, dirty, and indecent.

Expanding Definition Of Curse

Many thoughts, spoken words or actions that create undeserved negative outcomes, intended or not, are curses.

Thoughts, words and actions that should occur but do not, are silent swears.

Many secrets are curses because many secrets exist to protect wrongdoing. Many secrets are millstones to the rising of our greatness.

Many promises not kept, are curses.

Many societal practices and institutions, are curses. Not realizing this, is a curse.

Nearly every lie, is a curse. Courtrooms are legally filled with them.

Not striving to live up to our intended best, is a curse and profanity in the face of the Creator. It's like telling our parents we can do whatever we want to while still totally dependent upon them. (See also Matthew 22:37 KJV Bible and note below)*

Not striving to raise in knowledge of self, is a curse to more than self.

I love you, not meant, is a curse.

Calling ourselves friends, but without the supporting action, is swearing in front of people. Aren't the lukewarm spewed like a curse? (See also, "Unconditional Love & Friendship - Telling The Truth And Avoiding The Error of Omission")

What goes against natural law, is a curse.

Harming the ecosystem, is a curse. It's swearing we don't need to respect Supreme Law.

”Weeds,” “pests,” “bugs,” “invasive” and other such words, are curse words. Calling other living beings out their name is not something the intelligent do.

To attach criminal terms to weather and other natural events, is profanity.

Making life about money and not har-mony, is swearing to agree to the lifestyle of thieves.

What interferes with inherent rights, is a curse.

Personal choices to harm self, is like not giving a damn about what it takes to make the fundamentals of being alive, possible.

The absence of good habits, is swearing a commitment to weakness.

”God Bless America,” is a curse phrase. It is worse than flat out Satan worship. Here we are, pledging allegiance to masters of malfeasance. We are also acquiescing to regimes engaging in anti-God behavior, despite the great commandment to love thy neighbor. (See also Matthew 22:39 KJV Bible and note below)*

There are many more parts to the definition of curses...

Comparing Lists

These expanded categories of despicable words and actions obviously dwarf those most often implicated. In comparison to the harm this expanded list causes, the short list is merely a list of interjections we attach meaning to, but of themselves, are a lot less harmful.

If honest, we realize, probably everyone curses a lot more than we'd like to think. So it's really not about curse words by name but about the curses we accept without shame.

So please, if we're members of the CPP (Curse Police Patrol), we should stop profiling others and go after ourselves.

Curse words plague individuals, all types of relationships, families and countries. Curse words are passed on as legacies and show up as dysfunctions.

This means, we are not to be deceived by any behavior that runs counter to the first and second great commandments. They are not to be believed as the intentions of the Creator. Understanding has been simplified for us right here in these verses. Therefore, any belief that makes the first or second great commandment null and void and/or subject to exception, is a cursed belief.

We don't need anyone with any type of degree to explain to us how to live spiritually and righteously. It's in the ecology and in us, genetically.
