The Standard
The standard is what we are capable of. The standard is not what others are capable of or what others have or have not achieved. What we are capable of includes all current and past sets of conditions that have formed the basis of our genetics and all modifications. 9. Complicated scheming and naming that makes it hard for players to learn and remember assignments. College players have nowhere near the time available that NFL players have.
10. Any offensive play that begins with an empty backfield.
11. Defensive scheme that does not include bump and run pass coverage.
12. Injury to Shedeur Sanders. In all other areas there is sufficient depth except the kickers.
13. Poor play by special teams, which means insufficient yardage, insufficient point production, insufficient takeaways and insufficient scoring.
14. Poor coaching teaching of technique.
15. Lack of consequence for players who are penalized.
16. Lack of a move towards the ball mentality once it crosses the line of scrimmage.

Likewise then, any single aspect of self either moves us closer to our virtuous standard of using our capabilities or moves us farther away. It is rare for any aspect of self to be neutral in its contribution because it is unlikely any person will use an aspect in a neutral manner, because the use of any of our abilities is made with intention. Who has neutral intentions?
