If you do not understand racism (white supremacy) and how it works, everything else you understand will only confuse you. - Neely Fuller

We need something to clarify everything for us, because we get confused...but if we use the concept of Asili, we will understand that whatever it is they are doing, whatever terms they use, however they come at you, you need to be thinking about what? How is this going to facilitate their power and help them to dominate me? -Marimba Ani

Africa Has Never Been Poor
Unity Consciousness #340

.

Africa is the richest resource of human history that exists. It is where we all began and all basic knowledge was formulated and spread throughout the world. Africa can say to the rest of the world, “I was your age, you ain't never been mine.”* Africa is the oldest developed continent in the world.

Africa is both rich in brilliance and resilience, then and now. Africa is the home of our Ancestors. The genetics of Africans runs deeply within every human. If Africa is poor, so are we. If we disdain those who came long before, we will remain spiritually poor.

The continent of Africa is filled with natural resources. They are being stolen. Africa is being raped.

Poor has little to do with having money. In fact, most religions teach against holding money up as a sign of salvation or self-esteem or security. Those who do are the ones in poverty. Poverty is greed and those poor people don't know it. To live in poverty is to live without knowledge of self. To be poor is to be a miseducated slave and not know it.

Africa is not poor and Africans by any name who lay claim to their origin are not poor. Do not take on as your identity the definitions of those who do not understand the meaning of life and existence. No one is underprivileged, low-income, a minority, disadvantaged, poor, deprived or in poverty just because they do not have as much money as others.

Poor people are people who have poor nutrition. This puts most of us in the same boat. We lack the nutrient of knowledge of self and a host of other nutrients necessary to feed emotions, mind, spirit and body. This is because we live in a poverty context due to the suboptimal worldview (culture, values) we follow.

Who is poor and in poverty? Even sticking with money as the definition, clearly if 1% owns 99% of the wealth, most of us are poor as hell.
