This is a changing universe. We've heard that. Climate is changing. We've heard that also. However, based on our attitudes and thoughts regarding change, perhaps we don't fully understand that everyone and everything is changing.
Going Deeper Into Understanding Change
Since everyone and everything covers the universe, all that is said below is intentionally redundant without risk. The purpose is to say the same thing in many different ways in hopes that one of these perspectives will help us understand more fully what change means. If so, we will then understand ourselves better.
What Is Change?
Change means more than “something different.” Change also means something that is the same but in a different form. We can understand this with one example – the changing states of matter from spirit to liquid to solid to vapor to plasma to spirit. Change can also mean something that is the same but just more or less of the same. Change can simply mean a change of position. Change can mean moving between dimensions.
Why Change Is Necessary?
The creation of the universe is based on change. Creation means change.
Life depends on change. Existence depends on change. Life extends from change. Life comes into existence through change. Existence remains because of change.
Change is necessary for the continuous growth and continuous development of self, Earth, ecosystem and Creator.
More Truth About Change
DNA is based on change. DNA is dependent on change. If DNA did not change, the entire ecosystem would quickly fall apart. Every living cell and every living creature is always changing.
No one or nothing can prevent change – not for themselves or for anyone or anything else. Everyone and everything will either change in a progressive way or in a regressive way.
Everyone and everything will either continue to compose into higher and higher forms of life (evolve) or decompose into lower and lower forms of life (be recycled).
Before there can be visible change, there must be invisible change. Sometimes invisible change and visible change occur instantaneously together. Sometimes invisible change and visible change are separated by various periods of time. Sometimes invisible change and visible change are separated by our ability to detect them. No matter what, invisible change and visible change are always occurring.
Most change does not require any or very little of our awareness, acceptance or active participation. This is true even about change we have a degree of input and influence over. Each of us is changing personally without awareness of it. Each of us is changing without acceptance of the change. Each of us is changing without actively participating in the change.
All the atoms and elements change. Because we are made of elements, everything within us and without us, changes – for better or worse.
Change occurs slowly and then all at once. Change takes time and then suddenly, change is here.
We must not fool ourselves into thinking we are removed from the uncountable number of universal changes. The universe is an ecosystem of which we are a part. The universe is the ecosystem. “System” means change because system means process and process means change. Even if a system is a repeating cycle, there is still change. We know this by simply breathing.
No system can exist or remain without change. Know this.
The universe can be likened to a single living organism - an amoeba constantly changing. The structure of the universe is based on change. The contents of the universe is based on change. Somewhere in the structure and contents of the universe is everyone and everything, changing as the Creator changes.
Everything that takes place within the Creator (the universe) is about change. Nothing can happen or take place in the universe without change. Everything is change. Everyone is change. We are change. We are change within change. There is nothing about us that is not about change. There is nothing we are a part of that is not about change. Change is a fundamental characteristic of everyone and everything. Everyone and everything is changing within change.
By the powers vested in change, our understanding will change how we go about changing our lives and changing the world – which are both the same change.
