For a high degree of human dependence
Become a scholar beholden to dollars
Chain yourself to a job with a slave collar
Employer becomes the master
Of your fate and steps you take
Whether you're at work or not This system trains you to think you need money
Then trains you to compete and back-stab for that money
But first trains you to borrow and pay money to get trained
To compete for money you may or may not obtain
Something's going on that smells funny
Something's going on that ain't about money
But wait, you are so good at being smart
You continue to play and pay your part
Let criminals take your money from the start
Through taxes, fees and other corrupt legalities
And you repeat proudly
That you're a citizen contributing to society
Yes you are clearly
Giving your energy to a sick society
Allowing others to take money you earned
Like a good intelligent person
You keep on working harder
Than those with more money
And the gap spreads farther
Ninety-nine percent of the time
Obviously, working hard
Using this philosophy
Is not the key
Which is why
You can be locked out of things easily
Even from being healthy
Kept in poverty even with money
Understanding is the key
Richness of health
Money is a tool forged from natural resources
It is not the first, main or only recourse
Dollars and cents is one of many ways
Money is worth something but not self-worth
Once knowing self is placed before other things you seek
Conversion from cents back to sense will be complete
