The search for harmony led me around the way of the circular staircase that was broken into sections. I reached the top, the last step of the current section. I could see, through the blurriness, the next section floating a little higher in the distance. I wondered, pondered, lingered. How to get there from here. Needing to rest and recline, I leaned against the nearest post. It was then I noticed the vine that had also needed a way. Lesson learned.
The next step of the way there is not out there somewhere over no darn rainbow. The next step of the way, no matter how far away or hidden behind the blurriness of ain't-no-way, is right where you are.
Loosening and re-wrapping my mind, so did the vine.
Holding onto each other, we swung ourselves out into the openness,.
Right on time, came along a cloud of colors numbering nine.
Gifted this ride, we were lifted to the first step on the other side.
I touched the vine to the new post and it wrapped itself, stayed behind to show the way for others who might come this far, this way.
I knew I was still connected to Earth, but I was also somewhere else, finding out where, in the Universe.

i) When the time comes, our helpers leave Earth for a refreshing place in the Universe filled with soul food and ichor. Once well nourished, they return to Earth when the time that always comes clocking, does indeed, slowly, tick-tock, then suddenly all at once the ball drops. Who will get under it or in front of it? No one unprepared the day before, will survive the next day. And Oh what a Hapi day it will be!
