I say: They don't tell you clearly enough or often enough that the privacy agreement is only one of several agreements you must read and understand and that you agree to them all at once when you signup and submit your DNA. They don't tell you each agreement is long, repetitive and full of sleight of hand language, sandwiched in so you don't notice what they are really saying. They don't tell you that what they say in the advertising message is taken way or drastically reduced in the legal message. They say: Ancestry does not share your individual Personal Information (including your Genetic Information) with third-parties without your additional consent other than as described in this Privacy Statement.
I say: Additional consent is rarely needed because the initial consent you give already covers a whole lot of third parties. They say: If you request that Ancestry delete your DNA Data, we will delete all Genetic Information,
I say, (paraphrasing the rest of what they say and don't say on this topic): There will be an unspecified delay deleting your genetic information from our backup systems. We can't guarantee your genetic information will be deleted from our laboratory partners who may retain information in order to comply with laws Remember when we said we will delete ALL your genetic information, well, that's not true. Not only will our lab partners keep info to comply with laws and government requests for your genetic information, we will also keep genetic information for the same reasons and to resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, as well as to comply with tax, payment industry, securities, and clinical regulatory compliance requirements. They say: We can change our privacy statement at any time.
I say: They can change any agreement and notify you using at least one of several methods, but not necessarily directly by mail or email. Therefore, you are considered notified if the notice of changes to an agreement is posted on the website, even if you don't go to the website or see it. Another big okie doke sneak attack says:

I say: This means they can monetize your personal information. In other words, they can sell it. It is a common theme for companies to use short sentences and plain language to tell us what they want us to think, believe, remember and focus on.
Long paragraphs and sentences are used to tell us the truth they don't want us to catch or they don't want to sink in.
If You Use DNA Testing Companies, You Lose For Several Reasons
