If you do not understand racism (white supremacy) and how it works, everything else you understand will only confuse you. - Neely Fuller

We need something to clarify everything for us, because we get confused...but if we use the concept of Asili, we will understand that whatever it is they are doing, whatever terms they use, however they come at you, you need to be thinking about what? How is this going to facilitate their power and help them to dominate me? -Marimba Ani

Self-Determination Not Always Self-Evident
Unity Consciousness #1725
.

(Part 9up of 11)

Opening Explanation

This message begins where it does because this message began as a thought being formulated within another message not yet completed.

Message Begins

In relation to all else in the galaxy and universe, our Solar system is minuscule, so is our Sun, so is our Earth, so are humans. By no means are we immune from the system of the Universe. Only during brief periods of time are we able to create the illusion of our own self-determination as being the main factor that allows us to control self and anything else on Earth.

Self-determination is something larger than free will. Free will allows us choice to control what we are capable of controlling. I have the free will to plant a tree or garden. No amount of my self-determination will ensure the tree or garden will grow and produce as intended. Thus self-determination has limitations.

Self-determination is not freedom. Freedom is not the ability to do as one pleases. No such thing as freedom without responsibility. What are we responsible for? The things we can control. What can we control? The primary and secondary uses of free will.

Not only is there no freedom without responsibility, there is also no such thing as freedom without free will. Makes sense. More specifically, there is no such thing as freedom without the ability to exercise free will.
We can exercise free will in the areas we can control, but we are responsible for both the use and non-use of free will. (Why'd you do that? Why didn't you do something?)

Thus we now know four things are co-dependent, coincident, coordinates, interdependent, interrelated.
1. Control. Things we can control.
2. Free Will. The ability to exercise choice regarding what we can control.
3. Responsibility. Responsible for what we can control, whether we control it or not.
4. Now freedom exists.
Yet we still don't have self-determination. Not yet.

The Initiate, ready to take the next step that leads to becoming Adept, has paused at this point, and after reviewing what has been said above, has helped the answer unfold out of self, become self-evident.

The two examples given above, contain the answer.
If you haven't reread this message, before proceeding, you are exercising free will to not allow self to grow.

Now For The Long Drawn Out Answer Staring Us In All Our Eyes As Far As The Eye Can See

1. We can't control everything.
2. We can't always exercise all of our free will.
3. We are not responsible for everything.
4. Therefore freedom always has limitations, no matter if you think you have the most freedom possible or that ever existed.

Starting with the first set of four above and then moving to the second set of four just mentioned, if both of those groups are true, then how is it possible to have self-determination and for self-determination to exist? It does doesn't it?
You've already said it to yourself a few times during this message and are wondering what the heck I'm talking about.

We can determine a lot, but we can't determine everything; therefore, once again comes the revelation, self-determination has limitations.
Why?
It would seem to be because of the “determination” part of self-determination.
That is partially true.
Thus, the rest of the answer must be: Because of Self.

No not because of you, but because of:
1. who you determine
2. self to be.

Self-determination has limitations "Because Of Self.” (BOS, BOSS, BS)
So why would anyone do that to themselves?
Limit themselves in such a way so as not to be able to achieve the fullness of self-determination or what we could call optimal self-determination.

All of the examples above tell us the same thing at least twice that leads to the same answer.
1. No individual, entity or group can control everything controllable, thus every step of the way, there are limitations.

2. If what is controllable, what is free willable, what we are responsible for and what freedom is, are spread among many, there must be limitations for everyone and more or less for certain groupings depending on the current set of conditions.

3. The only way to overcome those limitations is “determine self” to be more inclusive of all else.
As more and more of this takes place, to incorporate and cooperate with a larger portion of the extended self, then self-determination also begins losing its limitations.
This is true even within individuals as they more consciously incorporate and cooperate spirit, body, emotion and mind. This is the first level, there are many more levels of incorporating and cooperating with more of self.

Self-determination is not always self-evident when our eyes are not working properly.

Optical Illusion

Self-determination is an epitome of optical illusion.
We see self-determination. We hear self-determination. We say self-determination. We think self-determination exists. And that's it. End of story.

And it does exist, but the optical illusion is that that's the end of the story.
Self-determination is the end of the story.

Determine-self is the first part of the story.

Look in every mirror and what do you see?

An example of an optimal answer is. No matter if I look myself in the eye (mirror) or many eyes (mirrors), I always see illusion first, then reality.

Self-determination begins to be limited, when one of these is missed, not noticed, not distinguished.

Message Ends

If “determining self” is the first part of “self-determination, then self-determination is always fully optimally completely possible because:
1. I can control the definition and meanings and context of self.
2. I will do that freely.
3. I am responsible for using or not using my free will to control what I can.
4. Freedom unfolds its wings through beingness as I allow the shape of waters to reshape consciousness.

Closing Explanation

Reminder to self: All messages are “notes to self.”
As I move further into this stage of the safari in the Spiritsphere, I AM revealing more of an inside look at parts of the process. While searching posts on self determination (no hyphen), I realize my understandings were early prepubescent. Also that of the European worldview is also prepubescent.
Kujichagulia, as the second principle of Kwanzaa, becomes a prepubescent use of seven truths, if we try to have self-determination without the other six principles. The full circle understanding of Kujichagulia is “determine for self” also.
As we move through stages of self-determination, we will frequently come to crossroads of determining self (who do I determine self to be). We can arrive at the necessary understandings through the fullness of what the Nguzo Saba mean. However, we can get there quicker and more consciously by beginning the inside look process of redetermining self.
Redetermine self, self-redetermination. Mathematically speaking, this is ½ + ½ = 1. Also One + One = Two Truths.
