(KJV), “And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels.” Genesis 15:13 (CJB), “Adonai said to Avram, “Know this for certain: your descendants will be foreigners in a land that is not theirs. They will be slaves and held in oppression there four hundred years.”
(KJV), “And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;” Genesis 15:14 (CJB), “But I will also judge that nation, the one that makes them slaves. Afterwards, they will leave with many possessions.”
(KJV), “And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.” Genesis 16:1 (CJB), “Now Sarai Avram’s wife had not borne him a child. But she had an Egyptian slave-girl named Hagar;”
(KJV), “Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.” Jeremiah 2:14 (CJB), “Is Isra’el a slave, born into serfdom? If not, why has he become plunder?
(KJV), “Is Israel a servant? is he a homeborn slave? why is he spoiled?” Revelation 18:13 (CJB), “cinnamon, cardamom, incense, myrrh, frankincense, wine, oil, flour, grain, cattle, sheep, horses, chariots — and bodies — and people’s souls.”
(KJV), “And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.” Amazingly enough, the word slave is only used twice in the KJV as opposed to 284 times in the CJB. This means the word “slave” was changed 282 times into another word or left out altogether in the KJV. Also, the word 'slave” was added once to the KJV when it did not appear in the CJB. The human effect is treacherous indeed - making slaves appear and disappear faster than Wall Street can
