Ruth 4:17, “And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.” In other words, the house of David, lineage of Jeshua (Jesus), is a Moabite house also.

Why Was The Town Excited To See Naomi?
Ruth 1:19 (KJV), “So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?”Ruth 1:19 (CJB), “So the two of them went on until they came to Beit-Lechem. When they arrived in Beit-Lechem, the whole city was stirred with excitement over them. The women asked, “Can this be Na‘omi?” Naomi was also a virtuous woman.
