First Reason God is not the only God
In Jewish-Christian bibles, how is it that each group of people had a god but Israel, the Johnny-come-lately people, had a God?God is god with a capital letter.
If God was so different from other gods, you would think God would not refer to self as God or god or anything similar.
Instead, we are led to believe that God is the best name God could come up with and that capitalizing the letter “G” is significant enough to make God different from god.
Second Reason God is not the only God
“For Adonai your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty and awesome God, who has no favorites and accepts no bribes.” (Deuteronomy 10:17) This is similar to the above. God is basically saying, I'm the Big God and other gods are little gods.God is acknowledging that other gods exist and are not figments of human imagination. God says other gods exist.
If other gods did not exist, why would God want to be called “God of gods” that don't exist? Why would God want to be the God of gods if these gods are so despicable?
Third Reason God is not the only God
“You are to have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3; Deuteronomy 5:7) a. In order for God to say “no other gods before me,” God must also be a god. “Other gods” is a reference that means God is also a god. If God is not a god, then the commandment makes no sense.b. God does not say you can't have “other gods.” God says you can't have other gods before me. According to God, it's okay to have other gods after God. This means, according to God, it's okay to have multiple God's (gods) as long as God is Top God of gods in a “love me the most” kinda way. God is a jealous fellow.
