Knowledge is gained by testing the truth and proving.Belief is maintained by accusing the truth and resting, without investigation and verification.
Why is it that we have to practice, apply, test and prove our own abilities and then assess the results, yet we don't do the same when it comes to information and logic which are simply someone's else's abilities?
Even “nature” itself is the ability of God. We test nature all the time.; yet, we fail to test the nature of humans and what humans produce. This is why we languish and consider it normal to use vice, weakness and suboptimal logic to live by, because truth is self-told that we are essentially living to “get by” while claiming otherwise.We must test the logic we are using, no matter where the logic came from. No matter where the information came from. No matter where the education came from. No matter where the news came from. No matter how many people it came from. We must test truth no matter what.
John 10:37-39: If I am not doing deeds that reflect my Father’s power, don’t trust me. But if I am, then, even if you don’t trust me, trust the deeds;
1 Thessalonians 5:21: Test all things carefully [so you can recognize what is good]. Hold firmly to that which is good.
