It's that season again. T'is the season full of folly.Contrary to the insanely popular belief that a yard with cut, trimmed, manicured, thick, lush, plush, beautiful grass is a sign of being civilized, it is not.
Everything we do in regards to grass in our yards, parkways, medians and parks is a sign of mental illness because we are estranged from common decency (common + unity, community, harmony).
Grass is intended as one part of a default ground cover forest salad that provides habitat, protection, food and medicine for forest salad eaters, which is supposed to include us. Grass is not intended as a stand-alone ground cover, especially when there are no creatures to eat the grass and eat it fast.
Also, where grass is intended to grow, some of it is supposed to mature and produce seeds. This is true of all creatures, all species.
All we're doing in relation to grass is self-strokin' our own ego so we can get off pretending our thinking and behavior is in good condition, that we are good neighbors and good citizens who have beautiful minds because we have "beautiful" lawns.
