If you do not understand racism (white supremacy) and how it works, everything else you understand will only confuse you. - Neely Fuller

We need something to clarify everything for us, because we get confused...but if we use the concept of Asili, we will understand that whatever it is they are doing, whatever terms they use, however they come at you, you need to be thinking about what? How is this going to facilitate their power and help them to dominate me? -Marimba Ani

Players Paying For WNBA Charter Flights
A Good Sounding Stupid Idea
Unity Consciousness #2899

(9azzzzzzzzzzzzzzzb of 11)

Breanna Stewart has said she would help pay for charter flights. So has other WNBA players and at least one NBA player. This sounds good, but based on what we know about sports being about money, it's a stupid idea even though well-intentioned.
The WNBA League Office says it will cost $20 million per year.
I say, let the damn league pay at least 8 million and get 1 million each from each of the 12 WNBA cities. Let the airlines contribute. Let media companies contribute. Let uniform manufacturers contribute. Let Gatorade contribute. Let team owners contribute. Let stadium owners contribute. Let basketball manufacturers contribute. Let the NBA League contribute $2 to $5 million. Let shoe manufacturers contribute. Let those who supply the tape, gauge and other supplies, contribute. Let the hotel industry contribute. Let WNBA partners contribute. Get contributions from colleges who want their players to be drafted into the WNBA or at least the top 10 colleges who have produced the most draft picks. If the WNBA team is in a State that has a toll road, let the State contribute because toll roads are highway robbers. Let everyone contribute who benefits and profits off the WNBA.
Collect taxes from all the damn rich people and that should bring in billions to the USA then the USA can give the WNBA a tax break.
There are lots of ways to pay for charter flights but it should not come from the players or the fans.

Hell, regular folks came up with 7 million dollars to support Damar Hamlin. You mean to tell me rich folks who throw money at political campaigns can't contribute $20 million or Wall Street or Walmart or Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk or any of the filthy rich?

You know the WNBA League owners are full of shit when their spokesperson says, well, they didn't ask for charter flights, all they wanted was more money, and then on the other hand the person says, we've been trying but nobody follows up with us. What kind of disingenuous bullshit is that?
