It's ridiculous that the always out of control media mouthpieces are already promoting Nikola Jokić** of the NBA Denver Nuggets as the next G.O.A.T. who will surpass all G.O.A.T.s, even Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberiain, Lebron James, Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and any others in the top 25. These pronouncements and accolades are being gang piled upon Nikola Jokić even before he has won any championships. Being the MVP has too much subjectivity in it to count as proof positive of greatness. Let's at least wait until Jokić has won at least 3 NBA championships. Before Nikola Jokić won the MVP, Dirk Nowitzki was the last white basketball player who gave white people hope by winning the MVP in 2007 and one championship in 2011.Jokić did not win Rookie Of The Year, unlike Chamberlain, Lebron, Jordan, Kareem and Bird did. Russell should have won the award were it not for a stupid rule because he played in the Olympics.
Pump the brakes on Jokić being great! Jokic is being painted as a skilled intellectual technician whose mental basketball acuity is the greatest of all time. Before anointing Nikola as the second coming of the Basketball Gods, let's at least make sure:
1. he puts in at least 10 years, which won't be until 2025.
2. he is greater than Larry Bird who couldn't jump very high either and won 3 MVPs and 3 championships and is still called Larry Legend and used to be called the Great White Hope.
3. the league doesn't figure out how to adjust to Jokić and limit his production and impact.
4. he plays in the Olympics for Serbia so that his greatness allows Serbia to beat the NBA Olympic Team and win a gold medal.
By now we should know that sports media and news are not experts of truth. And even if they were, whatever they say should not automatically be taken as fact or as an argument sufficiently supported.
Along these same lines, don't forget that media will always manifest the desires of Maafa Racism as long as Maafa Racism exists in a society such as the USA that always, like Lincoln, promotes the Asili and Utamawazo of whiteness superiority and Great White Hopes in all areas of people activity.
