If you do not understand racism (white supremacy) and how it works, everything else you understand will only confuse you. - Neely Fuller

We need something to clarify everything for us, because we get confused...but if we use the concept of Asili, we will understand that whatever it is they are doing, whatever terms they use, however they come at you, you need to be thinking about what? How is this going to facilitate their power and help them to dominate me? -Marimba Ani

Birthing Justice Overcoming Maafa Racism
Unity Consciousness #2948

(9azzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy of 11)

On Sunday, May 28, 2023, I watched a television program on PBS titled, “Birthing Justice”. It is about the huge disparities of black maternal health, black infant health, pregnancy and childbirth, relative to other “races.”
Kudos to the decision makers of this program who got straight to the heart of the matter and identified racism as the primary cause.
Racism and Maafa Racism are not succinctly defined, even though components of Maafa Racism are mentioned such as it being institutional and systemic.

Black folks, it is imperative to not believe that we are inherently genetically inferior when we continue to hear of our high and over-representation in many deleterious health areas. This widely promoted notion is as false as freedom in societies.
The basic problem simplified is two-fold.
1. Black people imbibe and embrace cultures that are designed to harm us, and in fact, harm everyone.
2. Maafa Racism manifests as strongly today as the day it was born in the deformed.

The basic solution simplified is:
Black People! Stop participating in the status quo many ways of living and many forms of logic that are counterproductive to health, including the healthcare and medical system. All things must be modified and reduced and hopefully eliminated regarding our dependence on food products, water, exercise and all else important.
Be certain I'm not advocating throwing babies out with bathwaters, but do return most of their children to the pterodactyl that brought them. As Ancestor John Henrik Clarke often reminds us, we must take what is useful from all cultures, modify them back to our benefit and discard everything else. If this process is thorough, it will be like consuming the naturally grown kernels of corn in the field and then assist in the ecosensible repurposing of the plant, husk, silk and cob.
