Black Lives Matter and their associated organizations and the youth in Africa are making the same mistake. Trying to reinvent the wheel.
Past Pan-African leaders are mentioned but these past leaders are not followed according to what they showed us works and what we should know works by the common sense we should have gained by virtue of dealing with our enemies.
Even our misguided ancestors are beneficial to us to remind us what not to do. But we do it anyway because we think we need a new plan despite the enemy being no different.
The above video sounds like this is the first time Africans anywhere have tried to address racism. There is no call to unite all blacks, buy black, claim Africa as our identity or boycott. Even the Dr. King led Civil Rights Movement had enough sense to boycott for as long as it took. Current groups are being too head-centered and not African spirit-centered. They are still talking and thinking within the Eurocentric context. This is the main mistake of the main mistake.
And this is why many of the basic foundational fundamental steps we must take are not being taken. We still think we can protest our way to freedom from tyranny of predators who seek nothing more than to steal, kill and destroy. We are not disconnecting from this system and its ways of thinking and ways of life. We are not getting back to cooperating with the Earth, water, each other and learning what we need to accomplish those goals and the overall goal of liberation from parasites. All of our logic must be inspected and corrected. The list is basic and has been delineated many times in many centuries and to some extent on this weblog. We can't continue to depend on the things we get from this society as our main means. This is counter to the revolution which we have stunted into a reformist mindset as guided by the European context that helps us forget to connect to and use what is already perfect in us.
