The NFL should just get rid of the Pro Bowl, but since they haven't, there must be enough money to be had by players and the NFL, to keep the game going.

The All Star Game of the National Football League in the USA is the Pro Bowl played at the end of the season before the Superbowl as a consolation prize to teams not in the Superbowl.
The game would be more interesting if it was only available to non-starting players. That way, bench players and practice squad players would get a chance to compete and would put forth more effort and not be so concerned about getting hurt. Plus it would allow the Pro Bowl to serve as an on-the-field job interview for all NFL scouts.

The Baseball All-Star game seems to be the most authentic in terms of player effort and has the least chance of injury.
The Family Feud game show is more entertaining than the NFL Pro Bowl.
