“If we unite Ms. Jeff's professional view and personal view, we find that she acknowledges our genetic material is vastly more than what is currently commonly accepted. Our ancestors teach us that our genetic material contains many many layers and cover the range of our being, thus we have physical genetics, mental genetics, emotional genetics and spiritual genetics. All these are mixed and mingled and are mostly unacknowledged and un-accessed. This portion then becomes more of what epigenetics is rather than epigenetics being simply the switching on and off of alleles via chemicals. These chemical changes are changes in the balance of elements in us. These elements are souls of life and contain memories because they are genetic material. We contain the memories of all that we are in all our lives in all forms, through all evolutions and de-evolutions, even something as recent as being in the womb. This is why no one has to teach us to go into the fetal position to sleep or to feel safe or when trying to cope with pain. Thus then, like all things, there is a suboptimal context for epigenetics that keeps us mostly in the current matrix. And then there's an optimal theory context that frees us back into the limitless from which we came and are.“[End of posted comment] Due to space constraints and tolerances, I was not able to say that my comment was in no way an aspersion against Ms. Jeff. Neither is anything in this message because Ms. Jeff is me and all of us in our miseducated state of negro. This doesn't mean she doesn't know. It means there are areas of logic that lead us astray despite other information that tries to warn us, our logic is off course. My purpose of leaving the comment and writing this message is an attempt to remind us that our miseducation, if relied upon as our dominant reference, will mislead us, shortchange us. The video opens with Karen Hunter providing the following background and asking a question:
“They found through epigenetics that in the Holocaust [Jewish], the generation afterwards still were affected and impacted by the trauma. And that was just less than a decade that period was in existence. Right? That that horror happened. We have 400 years of that. What's the impact of 400 years of bondage and all that went with it, what impact is it, both good and bad, on our genes?” If you listen to the video again, you will recognize the progression Ms. Jeff goes through. She said she has seen psychological studies of the effects of slavery but not any genetic studies of the effects of slavery on epigenetics. The truth is, psychology and the psyche and the mind and the spirit and the emotions are all genetics. There is nothing that exists in any form in this universe that is not genetics. This lack of awareness is due to how we've been educated into mind muck. It is also due to insufficient self-education that leads to greater amounts of knowledge of self, thus re-centers the human in the African-centered origin and connection to and awareness of more the whole and the interconnections. Ms. Jeff goes on to say, the short answer to the effects of slavery on epigenetics is “we don't know, right, there's not enough science to know that.”
This very errant conclusion of course is completely due to relying on one dimension of knowing and a dimension that is suboptimal in context. Been there done that. Ms. Jeff says she believes there is a biological and social component of slavery. Furthermore, survival skills are also being passed on to Africans as a result of needing to survive slavery. Therefore I say, then how can this not be genetic, thus epigenetic? Once again I recognize the fragmented logic that has plagued me most of my life. We are so used to disconnecting connected parts, that we don't even recognize it when we say it ourselves or see it or hear it or experience it in some way. All Africans know there is plenty of evidence and science to know that slavery has had a negative effect on our thinking and behavior, thus on our genetics, thus on our psyche, health, etc. and so on.
Ms. Jeff does what most of us have been taught to do and I myself have done most of my life until self education and multiple ways of knowing set me free. In the “we don't know” portion of her answer, she gives all credibility to a definition of science, that is once again, a very limited definition of science. This then also gives all credibility to the status quo racist collective who are the main producers of the information they call science.
Why is all this discussion, comment and message important?Because epigenetics are our superpowers. They are not super because they are extra, they are super because they are regular. Epigenetics are regular genetics that we don't use as much as we could, thus, to use them makes them seem super. If we allow the suboptimal definition of epigenetics to prevail, we will remain asleep to our superpowers. It is these superpowers which explain the evolution question Karen asks later. Karen Hunter asks the question related to the potential for our evolution as it relates to epigenetics.
Truth is, no matter what takes place in humans or any creation any where in the universe, it is felt by the Creator, thus also affects the epigenetics of God. This is part of karma (every action has an equal and opposite reaction) and other such sayings. Therefore, 400 years of slavery has impacted the balance of chemical reactions in us and in the perps. This then is the foundation of climate change. Climate change is chemical change is genetic change in the universe, or Earth if you choose to limit it. Despite the current view that mutation and evolution requires a long period of time, there are also periods of time when evolution and/or de-evolution takes place rapidly. This is due to the two truths and a Supreme Scientist God who always uses any means necessary to fulfill the need incentive. Unbeknownst to Ms. Jeff, her epigenetics were kicking in all throughout this video. Her and our ancestors brought her full circle, back to the middle and back to the origin. Spirit was getting her to admit the existence of epigenetics in broad and specific ways that showed epigenetics were about way more than chemicals and gene expression, even though that is also what epigenetics is. The problems comes in when we present the partial as the whole, and that partial, denies the whole.
