Though well known, this is still quite disturbing that, in order to get money from white folks, we have to grin and smile like a beauty contestant auditioning for white standards in order to help white males not be afraid of us or perceive us negatively. All that's left is “yes'm boss.” We have to “fix” white folks and adjust for their low self-esteem. Not only do we supposedly have to be twice as good, we have to be proposedly twice as white. Why? Partly because the better we are, the more negatively we are perceived because white folks feel threatened on multiple levels implicitly and/or explicitly due to their racism bias. Why? Because African Black people are relentlessly portrayed as mad, upset, angry, etc. Implicit bias (racism) training maybe works, but the problem is at a broader continuous systematic level, that continuously erodes any benefits of training (reprogramming), which is why these people doing the job of venture capitalists revert to the ab-norm, due to the toxic normalized ecosystem of the society-culture in all institutions.
