Unity and Disunity are two truths. You can't have one without at least having the potential for the other. You can't have one revealed without the other existing hidden. You can't have one in part and not have the other for the other part. You can't have one sometimes and not have the other the rest of the time. You just can't have it.
In other words, the existence of disunity proves the existence of unity.
All we have to do is put the emphasis on the unity and de-emphasize disunity.
Disunity is a normal part of the frequently changing cycle of having unity.
Displaying disunity is a normal part of the cycle of displaying unity.
In matters internal, we can be disunified all we want as long as we are not unified with others internally, if so, we've got it twisted.
In matters external, we need to be unified.
All other groups are both unified and disunified. Their main unity exists when it comes to trying to take advantage of other groups, especially Africans.
Africans, we just need to be unified with each other when we are dealing with other groups so that we are practicing African First self preservation.
You see how disunified China is right now. We know all about the USA. Look at France and England.The European Union is falling apart and Scotland wants independence from the United Kingdom (England, Britain, Wales, Northern Ireland). This is even as Britain itself is leaving the EU. Thus, while Africa is moving towards unity, most other nations are moving towards disunity as their primary manifestation which is removing the veneer and facade of their unity as being so damn strong that it can prevent the healthy form of unity that needs to take place in the world. And these are just a few to show how disunity and unity always exist simultaneously in the same place.
Forgetful? Look at how much inequality exists in countries you think is unified. Look at the corruption? Look at their health, their families, their education, everything is jacked the heck up. Who the hell wants to be like those people? A star not knowing it's a sun, thus wanting to be a supernova.
Unity and disunity is a human thing that comes and goes in and among all people. Disunity is not just an African thing and is not the only thing on display among Africans. Unity is already there.
It's up to us Africans to decide which one is most important, unity or disunity, and then apply it to meet the situation we are dealing with.
