If you do not understand racism (white supremacy) and how it works, everything else you understand will only confuse you. - Neely Fuller

We need something to clarify everything for us, because we get confused...but if we use the concept of Asili, we will understand that whatever it is they are doing, whatever terms they use, however they come at you, you need to be thinking about what? How is this going to facilitate their power and help them to dominate me? -Marimba Ani

Issuing A 40-year Eurobond: Ghana gets $14 billion oversubscribed orders

This tells us the bonds were structured extremely favorably for investors to promise such high yields without having the economy to even pay the interest, let alone the principal. This is indeed a reverse mortgage that is unable to be ever gotten out of using the overall thinking of the current administration.

The article mentions interest rates of 8%, 8.875% and 6.375%. Let's calculate an estimate and use an interest rate of 6% and ignore all the intricate details of the bonds. The annual minimum interest payment on 3 billion at 6% is 180 million. Over 40 years you pay about $7.2 billion in interest, then you have to pay the $3 billion for a total of $10.2 billion for the pleasure of borrowing $3 billion. Of course the bonds were oversubscribed. $14 billion more was offered to be invested because of that ridiculously high interest rate fixed and locked in for 40 years. Even the lowest rate is way too high. The 30-year bond from the USA was at 2% in August 2019.

This is a prime example of putting Ghana in the position of a reverse mortgage. This foolishness is being promoted as a good thing to all kinds of people. Search Ghana this blog for more foolishness and corrupt thinking.

More Detailed Calculation But Still Simple Because It Does Not Account For Unknown Details Of The Bonds

40-years, $750,000,000 at 8.875%. This is 66.6 million interest per year. This is 2.7 billion over 40 years. Total payback is 3.4 billion, just for borrowing $750 million at a high interest rate.

6-years, $1,250,000,000 at 6.375%. This is 80 million annual interest. This is 480 million over 6 years. Total payback is 1.7 billion just for borrowing 1.2 billion at a high interest rate.

14-years, $1,000,000,000 at 8%. This is 80 million annual interest. This is 1.1 billion over 14 years. Total payback is 2.1 billion, just for borrowing 1 billion at a high interest rate.

So as you can see, if these bonds run their course, the country of Ghana will have borrowed $3 billion and paid back $7.2 billion. With this type of economics no one can get ahead, no not even us individuals who borrow money for vehicles and houses and for going to college and for weddings and for other reasons that don't generate income to pay for themselves. Plus there's the "I'm stuck in the revolving door of credit card loans" that keeps us living too large on paychecks too small. These are the two lessons that are the same lesson for individuals and collectives (governments, countries).

You can be certain that in this kind of government that makes these kind of deals, that most of the projects the loans (bonds, investments) are used for will be spent in ways that don't generate revenue to pay for the interest or the principals. If we were to investigate the totality of all financial arrangements of this country, we'd be certain to find a hot mess of messed up deals. Kinda like a never-ending payday loan situation and rent-to-own agreements. Thus, with each one of these type deals there is an attrition and cannibalizing of the government bank account, thus putting Ghana in the same declining unstable duct tape position as the USA, thus leaving Ghana and similarly-situated countries, with only five options.
1. Murder, coerce, bully and trick other countries the way your partners are doing to support themselves.
2. File global bankruptcy, thus give in to being an overt slave plantation for your debtors.
3. Keep playing the false sense of sovereignty game.
4. Get revolutionized by citizens who take back their country by any means necessary.
5. After #4, then help other countries do the same to unite as Africans and re-evolution the planet.
