Jesus Was Made Lower Than The Angels
(Psalm 8:5; Hebrews 2:7) For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor.(Hebrews 2:9) But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Now despite these verses, there is also Revelation 22:8-9 which states:
And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. Now based on this we are told not to worship angels, worship God, yet we are not told not to worship Jesus when he was made lower than the angels. Yet in Genesis 19:1 Lot bowed down to two angels. Those angels did not say don't bow down to us. Colossians 2:18 says, Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshiping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
I say there is a nothing wrong with honoring and showing respect and great reverence to angels or spirits or ancestors. They are in the spirit and higher than humans in the flesh. Too many people are pushing the limits of great reverence and conflating and confounding and confusing it with worship. This is their own fault due to faulty logic that has not been strengthened by continual exercise of critical thinking. Angels are the ambassadors of God Allah. Why wouldn't great respect be shown? Luke 20: 35-40 says that when we die in Christ, the resurrection, we are alive, not dead and become as the angels, children of God. Thus as angels, those spirits are higher than humans in the flesh, those angels are worthy of great reverence. Those angels (spirits, ancestors) are not the totality of the Holy Spirit but they are a part of God and represent the macro in micro form. On the way back from Christianity and Islam, some have gotten sidetracked by the Hebrew Israelites with is the white form of Judaism in blackface. These people, not understanding the origin and basis of their religion, upon seeing the way home, turn from it because they are still referring to the directions that got them lost in the first place.
Jesus Didn't Rebuke The Disciples For Wanting to Practically Worship Angels Or Wanting To Worship Him
(Matthew 17:3-4; Mark 9:4-6; Luke 9: 32-36) And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles [temples, altars]; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. It is a conflation, a confounding and a confusion to equate ancestral spirits with familiar spirits in a negative, evil, bad, devilish way. All the angels of god, the lord, jesus himself and of the prophets are familiar spirits, aren't they? The people today who speak against “familiar spirits,” evidently don't know Jehovah Elohim is comprised of seven familiar spirits and is based on the familiar spirits in African Mythology and the original version of Judaism and original version of Christianity, both of which came from Africa, the birthplace of humans. Now we go back to Colossians 2:18 listed above. That verse actually means:1. Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility
2. Let no man beguile you of your reward in worshiping of angels
3. Let no man intrude into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind. Furthermore, I am certain, if I also go to some of the lost books of “The Bible” such as the Books of Enoch, there will be plenty of verses to justify great reverence for angels and spirits. Yes we must learn to discern, but there should not be a wholesale total discounting of ancestors and other spirits. Does not God work in mysterious ways and speak through many means and is not everything essentially spirit, if in fact God is spirit and God created everything? Come on now.
