On the third day after I died, I awakened in a place I assumed was heaven. There was no evidence of human habitation. Everything was vibrant and fresh smelling. None of the other creatures encountered behaved as they did on Earth. They too seemed to be exploring their surroundings and enjoying themselves on grasses, bushes and trees filled with all manner of succulent leaves and fruit that immediately grew back. The bees had translucent wings and transparent bodies such that the honey-making process could be viewed inside them. It was simultaneously cold and hot in different spots and I entered each zone, my clothing was transformed suitably. As I continued to walk, perhaps float, around, I noticed a path into a more densely grown area bordered by a line of tall trees towering above the rest. I was naturally drawn to it. After following the path for a short while, I came across a Being that defies description except to say it seemed to have the characteristics of many lifeforms. I was not afraid. The Being stood up and walked away on the path I was on. I instinctively knew to follow. Along the way the Being seemed to be exploring the surroundings as much as me. The Being held conversations with many creatures, each time in a different language. After one such encounter, I finally asked where we were going.
To the next step in the process that leads to either Heaven or Hell, the Being responded.
I slowed down.

The Welcome Waiting Room

I thought this was heaven, I said.
This is a taste of heaven. It's a welcome area, a waiting room for all souls. You hangout here until your spirit is directed to the path we are on.
What about those who don't go to heaven?
Every soul comes here. There is only one place that contains both heaven and hell. Perhaps you're thinking about Heaven North and Heaven South as Heaven Above and Hell Below. Many people get that confused. Heaven is a circle.
Why do the people going to Hell get to taste heaven?
Because every spirit-soul is born in heaven and no one has been judged yet.
We reached another clearing and I was told to wait there. The Being stepped off the path and merged in the surroundings.
After looking around, I noticed in front of me the forest had changed. I could see someone motioning to me to come forward.

Pre-screening – Step 1

I came to a wooden screen door behind which was a mist. The forest around me changed again to the look of being impenetrable letting me know this was the only way forward.
Step forward the Being said.
The door is closed. And it has no knob or handle.
Step through the door please.
Everything up to this point had been harmless, even though not what I was used to, so I stepped through.
What was that about? I asked.
We've had some humans make it this far who have not yet died.
How did they do that?
There are many Earths. Some of them are more advanced and have figured out how to build greater pyramidal towers while others have figured out different ways to travel. Once they make it into the outer room where you were and eat some of the fruit, it gets harder to tell who's supposed to be here and who's not.
I thought you had to die first.
That's another common misconception. Heaven is simply a dimension of the place you were in before you died. Once you die, it automatic that your soul returns here. However, if humans are able to figure out dimensions and some other things, they can cross the dimension without dying.
Wow, I wonder how some humans were able to do that.
Reading my spirit, the Being continues, it seems to be humans from planets where humans spend most of their time cooperating to help everyone be their best, rather than spending most of their time separating and fighting over resources.
If they're not human, why are they called out of the waiting room?
They're not and they are not on the waiting list.
Then how do they find the path out?
They watch and follow someone else.
So why don't you try to stop them?
Do you really think humans who have come this far are going to listen to reason when they are in love with their own reasoning?
What do you mean?
All humans get a different sense when they are doing right or wrong or when they've gone too far. All along the way if humans don't listen to that internal reasoning, it is unlikely they are going to do anything different than keep following the path they are on. Besides, they would think I'm an “alien.”
An alien?
Yes, the humans don't know they've reached the outer portion of heaven. They just think it's another planet to explore. Even in advanced civilizations, there are areas where understanding needs to be improved. So off these in the flesh humans go with all their weapons and detection gadgets.
Don't you have weapons?
I don't need any. I let the process take care of it. They can only get so far. I don't appear to those who have not been called. And besides, if humans who have not died make it all the way to the Judgment Hall, it can never end well for them.
Why not?
Because their heart must be removed and weighed.
Oh. So how do you really know who's who?
Right now even though you still appear human, if you are not in the spirit, you will get stuck in the screen, even if you've eaten the fruit.
What happens if they get stuck?
The screen turns blue and sinks into the burning sands and into Hell. It's the chance you take trying to cheat the process, knowingly or not, because we're supposed to be gaining understandings to help us doublecheck and keep in check our use of our genetic potential.
Why don't those humans just turn around at the screen door?
The humans see others like you make it through, and because you still look mostly human, they think they can pass the screen test also. They can't see me because I choose who to appear to. The fruit allows them to partially make it through, but the composition of their physical form prevents them from making it all the way, especially the bones.
Since you called me, why did I have to go through the screen?
We can't be too sure that optimal human collectives haven't figured something out we are not aware of yet.
Why don't you just put up a fence or wall and post guards around heaven?
Heaven is for the living. If humans can figure out how to get to Heaven without dying, then can stay, as long as they don't try to get past this point, Now I have a question for you. What was your purpose?
What do you mean what's my purpose?
What was your main goal in life?
To get to heaven and live forever.
We hear that a lot but that's not a good purpose.
Why not?
You were already living, but yet your main goal is to go somewhere else and live forever.
Well, when you put it that way.
What was your main purpose when you had the life you just left?
I was this, and that on Earth.
Was that your purpose?
I thought those were my purpose, but I never really gave it much thought.
How did those things you said you were and did, prepare you for getting into Heaven and having everlasting life?
I did what I had to do.
Is that right? A tree lowers a branch right beside the Being who removes a leaf. Another leaf grows in its place. The Being then uses a finger as if writing on the leaf.
Did I pass? Is the heart weighing part next?
The Being gives me a concerned look and drops the leaf, but it doesn't fall, it floats, rises, sprouts wings and flies into the mist ahead. Do you have any more questions?

Citizenship Test – Step 2

After a few moments, the same thing happens. A transformation occurs in the surroundings and another Being motions for me to move forward.
Where are you from, I'm asked.
Earth.
Which Earth?
The one with the sun and solar system.
All Earths have suns and solar systems. Where are you from?
I'm not sure how to answer.
The Being is holding a leaf I didn't notice at first. I see here you want to go to heaven, live forever but don't really know your purpose,
I remain silent as the Being looks at me. The Being does that leaf writing thing again and I'm wondering just how much room is on that leaf?
Why do you want to go to heaven?
I just want to go home and rest worry free, I reply
Then why didn't you say heaven, when I asked where you were from?
I didn't think that's what you meant by where are you from.
Hmm. Okay then, who are you?

Stop! the Being says, I didn't ask for your name. The question is who are you?
I'm a male, age 55 from this city, a law-abicing citizen in this country, never been arrested and I'm a European Christian Democrat, I'm married I have three kids, two of them went to college, I'm a basketball fan, a pet owner, middle class with a job and a good credit score, I'm a home owner....
Stop! Enough already. The Being looks more concerned than the last one. Begins writing on the leaf this time, but mouths what is being written. “Manes only uses suboptimal identifiers of self, does not understand where he came from or who he is. A12”
I interrupt by saying, Can I ask a question?
Yes you may ask as many questions as you'd like. Questions are encouraged.
Have I made it past the crossroads yet that lead to Heaven and Hell?
No, not yet.
When does that take place?
At the weighing of the heart. Everyone who passes through pre-screening is asked two groups of questions before going before the Judgment Seat in the middle of the Hall of Two Truths above the Pool of Two Truths.
Does what happen there determine who goes which way?
That's correct.
If the heart is most important, then why all the questions before then?
For those whose heart is found worthy, their spirit continues on. The questions help us determine which level of heaven to place you in. You've heard of seventh heaven and cloud number nine haven't you?
Yes.
There are many more levels. We cannot place souls with different levels of awareness in the same part of heaven. Spirits who have forgotten their purpose, where they came from or who they are, can't be moved into the general population until later.
Why later?
It causes chaos when spirit-souls who have not matured in knowledge of self in mortal form, enter into Heaven and begin interacting with from that same perspective. Each level of awareness requires a different reorientation process to prepare the soul for the next life, the next part of the journey. When you first arrived in the waiting room, even though you are in spirit form, you still looked mostly human. Then as you made it the next step, you were transformed each time, not your surroundings. Your spiritual body was being formed step by step, Then by the time you reach this point where you are right now, pretty much all spiritual bodies look the same. All those things you used to describe yourself are insufficient to describe spirit-soul.

Weighing of the Heart – Step 3

Next! Step up please.
I look around, there are no steps just a long hallway. I can faintly hear what sounds like singing. I enter a curving hallway. Right in the middle of the curve is a gathering of Beings more magnificently arrayed than any seen so far. There are no two alike. Each one seems to have their own custom design like characters in a language. These sit on a balcony. On the floor of the Hall, the recorder of deeds, steps forward carrying a scroll and begins reading.
These words are spoken, he says, to explain the essence of the process. It will answer the most frequently asked questions remaining at this point. Your spiritual heart will be removed from your spiritual body and placed on the scales of justice. The heart will be weighed against the the largest feather, the ostrich feather of Ma'at. The heart must be equal to or lighter than the two truths of the feather. The scales are also the two truths, so is the feather, thus so must the logic that guides the heart be in balance with both. This is the two times three. Every word and deed determines the weight of the heart. Has the manes laid sufficient hold of life to live again? Is the manes in possession of sufficient force to incorporate the soul anew so it will germinate and grow? While in mortal form, what is the balance of the eternal seeds planted compared to temporal seeds planted? (AE1 195)
Lack of understanding does not prevent entrance into Heaven if the heart is in the right place; however a person with opportunity to understand more but refuses, neglects or rejects understandings, adds weight to the heart.

Stop! You should have asked more questions before you came here in order to get more understandings to help you be more certain you were staying true to the most important things. That message is continuously broadcast to all spirits in all forms.
Before I realized it, my heart had been removed and weighed.
The recorder announces, it appears the heart is slightly heavier. Then the three Hori, the plump devourer, the 42 judges and the Counsel Of Eight El-ders, deliberate. Forty-nine Balcony Beings, one duplicated, or seven times seven. Taht Tehuti goes back to the scales and checks again. He then goes back to the group who deliberate further. They all turn and face me. The devourer is now muzzled and Anubis is holding the leash. A voice informs me that whenever it's a close call, the manes is given the benefit of the doubt. However, a soul and heart that does not integrate well into heaven or mature in understandings, can and will be recalled to stand again before the Judgment Seat. Do you have any questions?
Since this is a matter of life and death, I state what I think just happened. I get the sense I barely made it through this time around. I realize I got a lot of work to do.

When do I get to see the Tree of Life and River of Life and is this the part where I'm guaranteed eternal life?
Young manes, heaven is not a tourist attraction. There must a greater purpose to partaking of the life force in the Tree and River. Now regarding living eternal life here in Heaven forever, although many think that way, Heaven doesn't quite work that way.. Heaven is merely a rest stop, a refueling station, a reformulation station before the journey continues. Everything is recycled through continuous cycles. That's what allows there to be eternal life, by living life over and over. Eternal life is Returning life. That why there is the ever-coming one and the ever-living one as a form of the Two Truths. Heaven is not a permanent vacation destination. There's always work to be done as long as creation is still taking place. Before you can partake from the Tree and River at the source, you must be placed in a section of heaven where you can interact with souls at your same level, so we can assess how your soul interacts with Beings who all look and think alike. There are no differences. That's what our deliberation was mainly about, which section to place you in. We have decided to put you in the One Seed Orientation Class or what some call Zero Seed. Until this reorientation process is complete the soul stays and lives in the mansion of Heaven where there is plenty of food and ichor. The goal is to get you back into a Preexistence state of mind (understanding of beingness) before you return to Existence.
How long do I have to complete the process?
How long do you need? Right now you are a spiritual caterpillar. Once you've achieved sufficient understandings of self, the logic in you will change how your chromosomes function. This will cause you to sprout wings and become a spiritual butterfly. This is the original meaning of “earning your wings.” After that, the soul must choose the next form it will reincarnate as.
As I began to be led away by three Beings, the attendants began to clap and the 49 heralds formed one Supreme Being and began to sing.
