1. Fear of the unknown is duress of the known.
2. Fear is the emotional part of the response to estrangement from self.
3. Caution can be fear or prudence depending on the presence or absence of either of the above, that makes us decide to be cautious.
4. Fear of letting go of something you already know, just for a moment, is the same as fear of failing before trying. It is the fear of falling in our own eyes, just a little, from the high perched esteem of ourselves based on what we know and believe.
